  • Becks sorry to hear about the injury hope its not as bad as what they first thought.

well another cross country run for me this afternoon. a rather nasty 10km, the first km wasnt too bad flat with the normal cross country bumps, then i hit the hill !!!!!! it climbed for over 200m it was sooooo hard as i had never done any sort of hills in any of my training, then had to come down it ( that was probably the quickest iv ever run!) then had to do it all again for the second loop, the legs were so heavy and tired and had no energy in them for the second loop.

I was extemely happy to finish this one and in a time of 58.16 so im well chuffed to have got this time with hills in the race.

Hope every one feels good soon and gets over their injurys.

With this being the last week of full training, it is going to be a bit of a 'burning the candle at both ends' situation. The aim is still to try to achieve the first ever 100 mile week, more as an experiment for the next build up than this.

It will be interesting to see how 100 miles and working full time can fit in with other responsibilities in a nice, relaxed fashion. I can rest next week.:D

Becky, you sooooo don't deserve such bad luck - you have approached everything in a sensible, gradual way and should be reaping the rewards of your efforts now. At least you work in the right place for advice on such matters. Fingers crossed for a speedy resolution.

Apparently women are more prone to tibia stress fractures (ooo I love my surgeons some times) so ladies if you get any shin pain please get it looked at :D

Some more great running there Rich - you'll be the first of us to break 100 miles for a week (and prob the only one for a while) so we're all rooting for you :D
