Has the Abingdon idea started to grow on you a little more?;)
I must say it has tickled my fancy. The wife's got me busy on DIY at the moment, but after that job's done I'll be ramping it up to see if I can get fit enough in June to make the call.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
Yeah I'd love for it to be a group marathon - we could enter an MSE runners team and try for the team trophy!!!0

Afternoon all,
just been to a fitness and hydration presentation by lucozade.
Really interesting information, going in to science behind there drinks and products and how fitness takes it toll on the body and what you need to gie it the best chance of recovery after doing the fitness.
Also rich can you put me down for a marathon, just been added to the team to do the USAF marathon in ohio on the 19 september. so i best start upping the training. We will be doing regular training sessions as a team as well on sundays starting in week or 2. I think they are starting at 6miles a lap then increasing it by a mile a week so it should enable me to up my mileage without trying too hard. I will also keep up with my other running and racing as it will all help me.
Looking at last years results at my current time i should be around the 4hour mark but i really wanna push for under 3hour if i can. Like i said though regular training will be the key to this.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Wowee JJ go you!!! Exciting news and in OHIO - cool!
If you want I can send my 3:30 plan that Rich worked up for me?? Since you're fit already and a man I suspect you could turn that into a sub 3 if you wanted to0 -
Evening All,
Did a nice 9-10miler tonight - not exactly sure of the distance because I had to stop at the shop and stop to pee
But anyway - it started off hard work but got a lot easier - bought myself an energy drink when I was struggling early on and that helped loads - it was bound to happen though after the weekend and yesterdays speedy runs I needed a nice slow recovery one
Happy running all (except rich who is resting)!
