    Good luck with intervals :D

??? Help me out... I have no idea!

Still poorly sick unfortunately. I haven't run since Saturday and feel really lazy. Sunday's race is looking increasingly unlikely unless I am struck by a miracle in the morning. STill off work, but I fell asleep after lunch today and didn't wake until about 5pm. Hopefully that is a good sign?

Well done to everyone else out there running. Wish I could join you!

Pffft that must have been in the grant days - I got up at 5:30 - worked 6-10, did lectures till 4 (with an hour off for lunch) then went to rehearsal till 6 and somedays did singing practice as well...oh and I used to work half the weekend too - I only missed 2 lectures and 1 seminar in the whole 3 years!

Working full time and running 50-60 miles a week is easy compared to that :p

Sorry Uk - you're not as old as I thought then ;)
  • Evening all; it's nice to see that it's been so busy on here the last couple of days.

I hope all the poorly peeps are feeling better - you seem to have got it bad Chick let's home it will soon pass!!

I've just popped in to report on the first hilly run of my plan and all I have to say is ow, ow, and ow again. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I decided to run home from work today as that was the route with the most suitable inclines. What I didn't take into account were the three flights of steps I needed to negotiate to get up to the bridge over the river and once on the bridge I understood why a lot of cyclists get off their bikes and walk.

However, I managed to run the full distance - 4 miles in 43 minutes at a pace of 10.43. It wasn't too bad considering I was also wearing a rucksack for the first time.

Rich - are you climbing the walls yet?

Wow simply that is some going :D

Just a warning on steps - thats how I pulled my tendon first of all so if your muscles are tired walk up them slowly dont run as you can make them do too much work if you're not careful!

But great running again - you're going to be good at this I can tell :D
