  • Thanks Becky, luckily the steps weren't too steep, I just wasn't expecting them as you don't see them from the road. I'll try a different route for my hilly run next week.

I'm really enjoying having a plan to run to and intervals/hills certainly shake it up a bit :D

No, not climbing the walls yet, Simply - nice and calm, but there's a long time to Sunday!:p

Hope you enjoyed the hills despite the ouchiness - just take everything that's new very easily until you've got a feel for the sessions. You're doing well.

  • I don't think I'm going to hit my target of 25 miles this week due to work commitments. Here's what I've done so far, 3 miles on monday, spin on wednesday, 3 miles today, I'll do 3 miles tomorrow morning and I'm doing a 2 hour spin class in the evening to raise money for comic relief and I'll do 6 miles on sunday. So total for the week will be 15 miles, which is not bad really. next week I think i'll be able to do it! :p

And just wanted to add that every day I've had a killer hill to run too. So pleased with myself cause it's definately one of my weaknesses.

Well done Rachael - big hills are my weakness too - but the buzz is worth it I find :D

Oooo Uk I think we found you on you tube :D
  • Oooh, rachaelfleur - a killer hill every run? That takes some doing, well done.

I'll stick to once a week for the moment I think. :D

  • You're right becky, the buzz you get at the top is incredible. I'll stick with this hill for a while till I get pretty good at it and then move on to one just down the road from my flat. It's a scary thought but I'm going to conquer it one day :D

Simply, once a week is great, I wasn't even doing that so I've made sure I chose a running route with a hill near the end so everytime time I do that route I have to do the hill. It's such a pretty scenic route so I've been running it these past few days cause the weathers been so wonderful (apart from a head on wind).

Chickadee I hope you get better soon. A long sleep will help your body fight the virus.
Rich good luck in your race. Yesterday I did 90 minutes on the stepper. Hope to get another long walk in either today or tomorrow.

    Hey all :hello:

Did my first 'brisk walk' today (or yesterday?) Thursday morning. 15 mins through the park then down the field.

1.02 km  I know, that's like, NOTHING!

Good news is I wasn't very tired so this might happen faster than we though. I won't push myself yet though, having FMS that's the last thing you should do.

Thanks Becky for your advice :j

Well done Rachel - 90 minutes on the the stepper must be tough going - rather you than me!!!!

Glad to hear you got out Melika - its not the distance that counts its the fact you did it :D:D Hope you're feeling okay today and looking forward to the next one - its getting warmer all the time so hopefully that should help you stay warm :D
