Evening! I only did 3 miles - I normally do 8 or 10 on a Wednesday, and it is a lovely evening, etc, and bizarrely I feel more awake and raring to go than usual.......but I had a bit of a "grumbly tum" and envisaged having to "do a Paula" so decided it would be best to head back to the car. Nothing serious, no injury or anything, so just one of those things, but a bit of a shame, nevertheless.

Hey Hypno, at least you got out there! Its typical though that on the days when you really feel up for a run something stops you. Never mind. Hold onto that feeling until tomorrow.

Chick so I'll put you down for 1,300 and we'll see where we go from there :D

Sorry you're still not feeling great and that OH is still struggling - do you think it stems from his injury earlier in the year?? You have to go on Sunday though - I need someone to keep an eye on that crazy Rich :)

Sorry about your dodgy tum Hypno...I get that a lot so totally sympathise - it is horrible, bu 3 miles in the bank none the less so thats good :D

Sorry about OH, chick, and that you are still not feeling well. Hope the ankle holds out Uk!

I won't be running tomorrow, because it is OH birthday and we are going out for dinner (yum!) but should be able to get out on Friday evening, then planning to do my longish run on Sunday.

Hi Becky, yes 1300 will do for me. I think it's a good idea. It will mean more consistency in my training and I'll retain a decent level of fitness at that sort of mileage. I'm a yo-yo kind of runner, either all-out marathon training or nothing!

OH's difficulty is all related to his earlier injury. He is having regular physio now and has new running shoes but he hasn't been able to do lots of training so he's lost a lot of his former fitness. He's on the way back up now but quite a way behind where he would want to be, and very frustrated about it!

I can see how that would annoy him - it would drive me mad I have to say - I get cross when I dont run a pb at the 5k races even though I'm not even training for that distance - its easy to start seeing the body as something you are working against rather than gently guiding into a place...

Alright Uk I'll let you off this once - have you tried the old RICE method?? That may help to quell the pain a little post run :D
