whats the best thing to do when you get crap when running? Is it to stop and stretch or try and run it out (dont think I could have done?)
Bit dissapointed did 3.55 miles but could feel the cramp coming on around mile 3, 32:59. Am going to go out and try again tonight or maybe do an easy 6 miles to get some more mileage in for the dayI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Chick, what Garmin did you get and where from? Am still dithering about what one to get (or whether to just get another nike sensor!).
Sally, Where are you getting cramps? It could be any number of things; not enough salt, not enough potassium, not enough water, too much water, not enough stretching before the run etc. etc.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

Beer tins, I got the Garmin 305 from Amazon at £129.95. I read the reviews and although the 405 is smaller, other people seemed to be having difficulty with the bezel control. Since I'm not too bothered about having the smallest, newest model, I went for the tried and tested 305. It has also come down in price a lot since I last looked. Quite a few people I run with have these and they swear by them.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Too many reasons for me to choose from, not going to worry as ive not had leg cramp before. Maybe just the fact the legs are still a bit tired after the long run on sunday. Beertins do you want my Nike sensor? is it the round bit for the shoe or the bit you plug in the end? I can't find the manual for mine so will struggle to sell it without it. I have to say I LOVE my garmin I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway .... Thanks Sally. How old is your sensor (approx how many miles) and how much do you want for it?
Edit: it's the bit for your shoe
 Don't worry too much about the cramp, if you haven't had it before.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

The Nike+ sensor is OK, but the battery seems to die quite quickly and as it's not rechargeable, it's £12 for a new sensor every time that happens. I got mine free, with a Nike Sportsband, but I don't think they do this anymore, only the one for iPod nano is available now. It seems that the garmin is the preferred gizmo on here...Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

Have PM'd you BT. I think personally if you intend to continue running for years to come and you want a gadget then I would go for the garmin. If you have to keep buying replacement sensors the price is going to mount up quicklyI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Thanks sally, think I'll take up your offer, if only to give me time to decide which garmin to get. Yes, it takes me ages to decide these things!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

I've got a garmin 405 but last night I went to put it on and I had forgotten to charge it......so I ended up just running with my ipod which has a stopwatch on it, and mapped my run when I got home - but I did miss my garmin!
Thankfully it is now fully charged and raring to go for a run after work.......sadly, the same cannot be said about me - I would quite like to crawl under my desk and fall asleep Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
