Afternoon folks,
i was in brighton over the weekend, and spotted the signs for the run, was a little bit gutted that i'm nowhere near being able to enter somthing like that myself, but maybe one day..... still i knew you guys would be out in force :T well done to all of you!!! so sorry to hear about your tendon becky, hope it heals quickly.
I didn't do any walking all weekend, but i did dance from 11pm til 3am constantly! surrounded by half naked gay men and smoke machines lol, if only i'd been wearing my pedometer, i'd love to know what i covered in my drunken stupor. Anyways, i shall be off to the gym tonight, after averaging 1.5km per session last week, i'm aiming for 3km this week and three sessions not two.Debt@LBM1=£4050 1st DFD 27/08/09

Hey Pink - my advice - dont do Brighton for your first half!!! Its scary...pick a nice flat one

well another circuit down, id have do twice as much if the instructor didnt talk so much at the start of the session, took us almost 30mins just to get started.
Another push yourself style circuit, running level 7 constantly on the bleep test for 8 mins which works out at approx 73 shuttles none stop up and down a 20m track. which is just short of 1.5km
Then going at level 11 for 7 mins, 75 shuttles, 1.5km.
Then level 15 for 4 mins, 50 shuttles, 1km
So over all iv run 4km in 19mins there was a rest inbetween each set.
It has eased the calfs but im sure they will be sore tommorrow.
Good luck pink on the session for tonight you will get there just enjoy what you are doing and the times and distance will come and go past so easy.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Week26
Mon23/2 10K 55:34 (8:58/mile) (Pulse 84)
This is the first week with no rest days, which is required to push the mileage up to 90 miles this week.
Everything feels okay after yesterday and, on reflection, I'm a little happier with the performance than I first thought. The only straightforward part of the course was between miles 5-9 and the average pace for that section was 6:42/mile, bang on the planned pace. I was also feeling strong at that stage and ready to push on when the unexpected hills arrived. But considering that the target race is definitely flat the signs look okay!:D
Good luck with the intervals Chick and enjoy the runclub Sally.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well our walk went well. 3 miles spot on, walkjogrun said it would take 1 hour, at 3mph, we made it back in 49 mins, so that was pretty good. I couldn't help feeling we could have been going a little faster, but I didn't want to push us, then towards the end it started dragging. I feel really energised and proud that we've started this.0

4 miles at run club tonight. Pleased with that after yesterdays 16 miles. Intervals tomorrow :eek:I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Back from intervals and guess what? MY AVERAGE BEGINS WITH A 7!!!! :j
(Ok, so its taken me a while.....:o )
Felt good this evening, intervals went as follows: 7:50, 8:13, 8:10 but don't forget each interval is 1660m, not 1610m (running in 3rd lane). When I got my calculator out back home this works out to an average 8:04 for 1660m and 7:50 for a mile.

It feels like it has taken me forever to get below 8 mins for my intervals but I'm really pleased tonight. Grinning all over my face.
I love running!!!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
