Sorry Sally I didnt mean to confuse you...what I was trying to say was that when you bring distance and speed together it takes longer to recover and today you ran 16 miles at 11 min/miles and if you are aiming for 4:30 then thats 26 miles at just below 11 minute miles - not many people would be able to run such a long run at near mp, so that means you're well on track :D

Ok get you..I will emphasise I would like to run 4:30 (probably more likely to be 5:00) but Im really not sure how realistic that is. Todays run was run at a very easy pace but saying that another 10 miles on top of that I wouldn't be able to go any faster than I was. Who knows what I will achieve in 9 weeks though I can but dream :rotfl:

Chick - with the rubbish exchange rate it was going to cost £70 to enter plus medical certificate (£10) + getting there and accoms...so a lot of money ;)

Abingdon is flat, in the UK and £33 to enter! Seemed better all round really :D

I won't be doing the wymondham 20 - I WILL be doing a 20 miler, but doing it myself so I can save the entry fee :o

I will also not be doing the Bungay half - I come back from my ski holiday that day, but I WILL be doing the Good Friday 10k.

And of course I WILL be doing FLM.........

I will also be looking to do the Norwich Half again in November.

  • Summer is for fun which means speed speed speed :D

Therefore, the targets will be set around achieving 5k and 10k pbs. I'm currently looking at two series of 5k and 10k races in Morecambe, both on the road and the track.
