  • Evening all,
iv no planned races this year, just training as i cannot really afford any of them as were trying to clear as many debts as possible this year. But i have a plan, if i can match bet my way to clearing them then the rest that i make will be for race entries.

Iv just got in from a 5km trying to get a bit of speed in my legs so pushed hard and was well and truely knackered by the time i finished.
So my time for the 5km was 26:18 almost a minute and half of my fastest time so far. Im well happy and am enjoying an nice hot cup of coffee and a custard cream.
    Good luck on the running

Yes, but the last 6 miles should be a blast! Although in the heat and smog, no, forget that - you aren't on the edge of insane, you're right in there!

  • Hi everyone, I haven't posted for over a week and have not caught up on the thread so have got lots of reading to do. I wanted to pop back in and update as I'm know that if I leave it too long then I'll just drift away.

Friday 13th - tried a new walk - 6.04 k in 59 mins. I discovered new parts of my neighbourhood that I have no urge to visit again in the near future so won't be taking that route again.

Sat 14th and Sun 15th felt tired and demotivated (don't think that I'd fully recovered from my cold) so R&R on those days.

Monday 16th - ran 8.89k (my longest run so far) in 1 hour. :j
Tuesday 17th - walked 4.27k in 41.19 in my lunch break.

Unfortunately on Wednesday we had an unexpected bereavement so travelled up country and spent Thurs and Fri with family. No running or walking I'm afraid. :(

Yesterday ran 9.07k in 1 hr 27 secs (very pleased with that) and walked 5.32k in 50.55 today. :T

Will have a rest day tomorrow and then try to fit in 2 more runs before heading off for the funeral on Friday.

Sorry this is so lengthy - will catch up and post more frequently once all the sad stuff is out of the way.
