Another day, another set of blisters

But 10.5 miles done......I was faster than I wanted to be - I am trying to go slower but I seem to be set in this same pace all the time......got round in 1:50 exactly which is 10.30 a mile - I did consciously keep trying to back off a bit, but never really found a rythym (well, I did towards the end, but it was too late by then!!).

So, 31 miles done in the last 5 days - that's pretty good for me, and certainly the most I have done so far!!

  • Thats excellent, Hypno.

When the blisters were at their worst the idea of 31 miles in 5 days was pretty much unthinkable, wasn't it?

Can't run any slower? Try giving me a piggyback, that should slow you down a bit!:p

But you don't have to consciously try to slow down, just make sure the effort level is as low as possible so as to not take too much out of yourself.

A good solid session to take you one step closer to marathon fitness.:D

Oh believe me, the blisters are currently at their worst. I am definitely going to have to go and seek assistance with them. I think the 31 miles is more a case of I'm used to the pain now!

But I am pleased with the mileage!!!

Yes, it is definitely from the new trainers - I will get them looked at, and take it from there. They kept me awake last night, they are that bad :o

anyway, I am glad I did my run last night - we have had more snow overnight!

Keep warm, and happy running to those going out x

That completes the highest mileage day so far, by a teeny weeny bit ahead of last Sunday, and 33 miles since yesterday.

OK, I give up - how does that add up to 33? :D
    3+6.2+14+6.2 = 29.4?

Did you really do another 3.6 miles as part of your intervals?
