Hi there. Sadly, I have to report that I haven't run tonight. Not a step. I still feel exhausted so I'm off to bed in a short while. I'm out again tomorrow evening so there will be no running for me until Thursday. On Thursday I'll go out with my Ladies group, then I'm off for my weekend of luxury and pampering. I hope that will give me some zing back.
Well done to everyone else who is getting the runs in. I think I'm having my 'snow' week this week.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Join the "early night" club for today, I am about to make a hot water bottle and head off myself!
I am very sure you will get your zing back soon - you have had a lot going on recently, so it is hardly surprising you are shattered! Hey! it of a late post from me, I went netball training lastnight for 2 hours, didn't get back till half 10 and I was up for work at 5 in the morning!
I was very tired today, but....I dragged my a$$ to the gym and did my 4 mile walk. :-D
Then I went for an Indian head massage! lush!0 -
Well done on the walk Bex!
And some good intervals there Sally - glad you found a place to do them nearby
I think a nice 'snow' week is a great idea Chick if you're feeling tired - you'll come back stronger next week ready for new challenges
I ran an easy 4 this morning but it was hard work (yesterday nights short sleep catching up with me I think) still 35 mins so nothing to worry about just tired muscles and the tendon seems a lot better this morning although it is still twinging occassionally when I walk around...
Happy running all!0 -

Good morning, one and all!:D
With just 6 weeks of training to go after this week, this is the point where things should be starting to come together and tick over like clockwork.
Thankfully, that seems to be happening quite well, with the speedwork looking to be progressing nicely in both Saturday's and yesterday's speed sessions. Also the distance work is bedding down well with the equivalent of a marathon completed since this time yesterday morning, and that being only 48 hours after a 20 miler. A few weeks ago I'd have been tired just thinking about that!:p
So pleased with the way things are going at the moment.:D
Well done Bex on getting the walk in.
Becky, glad to hear the tendon is behaving - another 24 hours and it shouldn't be causing much concern.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I can feel sub 3 is so on for Blackpool coachie...
I cant wait till I'm building up to Venice and its all 'known' to me so I can understand how the work I'm doing is bedding down0 -

I certainly hope so!:D As long as the weather plays ball this week then the weekly mileage should be 80.0 and that sort of level completely takes the Wall out of the equation (thank god!). So as long as that is the case there should be a fair chance of sub 3 hours.
Yep, by then you'll have some great info on how your body reacts to different training and how to trust it to develop speed from slow training!;)Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Glad to see you guys getting on so well.
Been another 10 days or so since I've done any running now, between snow and illness...Bit fed up tbh. But feeling really fidgetty and keen to get out there, which has to be a sure sign of addiction, right?
Hopefully the stars will align and I can have a go at my 8.5 route at lunch tomorrow. (playing footy again at least tonight)0 -
Yep, you're addicted Idio!
There are addictions which don't get affected by the weather, but probably best stick to this one, eh?:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
