Hmm I think it says something about me that I didnt even realise it was valentines day HAHAHA

No worries - I shant be running the weekend after as I'm doing a mini taper for the Sussex Half, but I may be doing the 28th Feb (depending on whether I'm visiting a friend or she's coming to me) - hopefully see you there :)

  • Hey Beer Tins, take the missus along - you never know she may, as in the words of David Coleman, be rather impressed when you open your legs and show your class!!!! And anyway, you'll be finished by 9-30 so plenty of time for valentiney shenanigans later!

Believe me, she would by far prefer a lie-in, so maybe she can do that while I go for a run. Maybe I'll get some breakfast stuff on the way home (no, not custard) and start there. We don't really 'do' valentines anyway, see it as a bit of a Hallmark holiday. I remember going to Crystal Palace vs. QPR on valentines day a few years ago. It featured in my brother's best man speech.

Oh Chick - how are you feeling today?? A bit more positive from the other night I hope :o:o

Hi there everyone. Thanks for asking Becky, yes I feel a bit better. I haven't run since Saturday morning though, so I'll be off out for a 6-miler tonight. There was a meeting at school last night which meant I couldn't do my intervals (again!). I haven't run on the track for ages now, but I did use last Thursday's session as a fartlek so I'm still doing some bursts of speed every now and again.

Very busy at work at the moment though, doing next year's budget so not much time to post on here. I'm also excited that I went to my optician yesterday and I may be getting some new contact lenses so I can run without my specs. :j I have funny eyes so straighforward contacts aren't OK for me, but there are new technological advances that may mean I can wear them. I'll keep you posted.

Will let you know how I get on on tonight later on.

Rich - wow! Amazing session this morning. What did you have for brekkie?
Hypno - Well done you for running, even when you felt like skipping it.

Hope your run goes OK Chick x I'm saving up to have laser done on my eyes as I don't like the thought of contact lenses and I only wear my glasses for distance so wearing whilst running would give me a headache. I hope you can get some soon.

    * note to self - you need an eye test!

Ooo I'm saving up for that too Evab :D

I wear contacts all the time as I cant wear glasses and its sooo annoying what getting sweaty for 50 miles a week does to them - have to clean them all the time - so I'm switching to Daily ones this month and putting the difference aside to save up for laser in a few years :D

    3.25miles in 31 min 31 secs..

can get my reasons in... still icy and snowy and went with a friend who aint run for months... so had to slow down to let him catch up twice...

and apart from that just took it easy.

felt the injury a bit in the last .5 of a mile but nothing to bad... hopefully will feel fine 2moorw so i can have some more.
