I could quite happily have skipped my run tonight - I still ache a fair bit from Saturday, and the weather is pants, but I decided I would get changed and go straight out when I got home from work before I changed my mind, and I am really glad I did - after doing 14 miles on Saturday, 6.5 felt quite short!

I hope you manage to get out tomorrow.

Beer Tins - the idea is to do beer AND running, not beer OR running! But we'll let you off this time.In terms of the 'darn sarff' 5k, I'll be doing the ones on 11th April and 25th April (ie the day before London)......but I'm sure Becky will be doing others in the meantime.I reckon its probably a decent enough course when you can actually find the paths - I did manage to take the wrong course on the 2nd lap!!!And as for living with Becky, how would that work? I have to know that my custard supplies are safe - you would have to have them under lock and key if the red haired one was around!!(apologies for the dodgy formatting of this post - it doesn't work too well when I post from a pda)

Dont forget the coffee - I would have to keep my stores of the good stuff locked away :eek::eek:

Oh Chick - how are you feeling today?? A bit more positive from the other night I hope :o:o

    Mon9/2 Rest Day
    Tues10/2 3 x 1 Mile Intervals (6:23, 6:10, 6:03) (Avge 6:12) (Pulse 120)

    Wowee!!

This was a bit of a surprise. The track and pavements are still out of bounds with frozen rutted snow, so I decided to 'go through the motions' and do an interval session around my 'triangle', which is an accurate mile but has a significant hill on each lap.

By my reckoning the hill is worth 10-15 secs which is why I would have been quite happy with times in the region of 6:30.

But as happens when running from strength off high mileage the speed can sometimes take you by surprise. So a 6:12 average is the best of all intervals so far (previous best 6:13) and 6:03 is the fastest mile so far (previous best 6:08).:D :D

To do this less than 48 hours after a 3hrs 24mins run is very encouraging and the peak pulse of 120 backs up the very low pulses last week.:D

I deserve custard now - is it not the done thing to have it for breakfast?

    Great running indeed!

Becky, not sure how my wife would like the idea of me getting up early on Valentines day to meet another woman! Seriously though, I'll have to see if she's got any plans. She may have secret plans too, so I really can't commit for this one. If I do come it will be a last minute decision.
