hi vonster.
Sorry to hear that things are a bit wobbly at the moment, how unfair that your SIL is upsetting things... even though its not on purpose!
I think the idea of all the neighbours taking it in turns is a great idea! How great that you live in such a close neighbourhood... I'm hoping I dont have to walk down any kind of aisle as I hate doing things like that, having people looking at me. Yes I know its supposed to be the day when everyone looks at the bride but I dont like it. Might ask if me, Dad and OH can just stand at the front til the registrar person is ready to start then Dad can just do his bit and sit down again cos he's very shy too.
btw whens the big day?DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!
Donated 50 pints so far.... gold badge got 17/11/13! Blood Group O+

I also think that is a lovely idea. One thing I have to ask, can your mum not give you away? I dont see why it has to be a man (but if thats your preference thats obviously fine - if my dad wasnt around, I would ask my mum). Nowadays we are paying for ourselves anyway so no-one is 'giving us away' as such so you could have whoever you wanted.poppycracker wrote: »I'm hoping I dont have to walk down any kind of aisle as I hate doing things like that, having people looking at me. I am also dreading the walking down the aisle bit with all eyes on me!! I think thats what veils are for although I will probably only wear it for literally that bit :eek:0 -
Thanks poppy and steph for your comments. If bridesmaid A doesn't want her hair or make-up done then I don't mind but I really would like the two bridesmaids to look like a 'pair' so that the photos look good (I have a thing about symmetry)
I think I'm mainly perplexed because I thought the bridesmaids were supposed to make life easier not cause more stress.

Mrs.Metallica - I think its a 'dependents visa' that you need, not sure how you get it though.
Just bought my tiara - yay: http://www.warrenyork.co.uk/details.asp?cat=1&id=40 -

That is lovely, it is very much similar to the one I have bought so I would say thatI will have to take a pic when I get it

You're tiara looks lovely nichart20.
My chat with bridesmaid A went well I think, she's agreed to come to the hair trial and if she doesn't like the hairdresser then she'll do her own on the day. Phew.
Our invites are practically ready to send, we're just waiting to hear from the venue if they'll let us give the evening guests drink vouchers.
And I've beening working on the wedding listI'm finding it hard to stop finding things I want and concentrate of the things we need
