I'd firstly like to thank people who replied to my previous post in this thread ((hugs)) I have still heard nothing from someone who advertised things on here and 'stupid' me sent off some money (hoping to save quite a bit on things) to actually lose it because the person as failed to send me what we agreed on and wont or failed to answer any correspondance from me in anyway
you'd think that you could trust some people too

Sorry to hear that Blue, that really sucks. I sincerely hope that you didn't lose too much moneyYou would hope that fellow MSE'ers are as honest as you
I've just watched Jade's wedding - and I practically cried the whole way through. I just feel so awful for her having such a wonderful day and knowing that she doesn't have long left. Really puts things into perspective and the reason that we're all getting married - to be with the one that we love. God willing, we will all have a long and happy marriage to look forward to...0 -
Sorry to hear about your bad experience blue, hope you are able to find what you wanted somewhere else.
I finally got my invites this morning! I'm going to try and put a photo up if I remember how to get into photobucket.............. They are so cute!
Hopefully this is it...............you can click on it to see it bigger.....
Anyone know of a polite way to say 'no need to buy us a wedding present but we could do with some money for a new bed'?DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

PS - lucky you Sammy Girl getting MJ tickets, I tried to register for presale with my mobile, both of my email addresses and H2B email and we didnt get anything
My OH was lucky enough to get himself a ticket....17 August - right in the middle of our honeymoon! I've told him that I'll take a friend with me instead if he likes as he'll be a nightmare on the day, stuck in Turkey in the sun with his new wife  :rotfl:
Also I was saying to my OH last night, sometime soon someone might start a conversation with me with something other than "How are the wedding plans going?" It's lovely that people are interested, but surely there must be something else they'd like to talk about0 -
OMG blonde- how silly of him LMAO! Where are you going on honeymoon hunni? and when!?0

Hi Ladies,
Poppy - I love your invites - they're really cuteWe're doing ours at Easter - not looking forward to it lol. Sorry, not sure about asking for money for a bed lol - we're having a John Lewis gift list!
Blonde, that's funny. That's the kind of thing my H2B would have done given half the chance lol. So we got 2 tickets in the presale for September, and I ended up buying another 2 today for February  Not told H2B about the second set yet lol. Plus we're in the top tier which is veeeeeeery high up and H2B is scared of heights - might keep that one quiet too lol
Got my wedding perfume today. Went somewhat mad. I want the smell to last all day so I got the matching (in order lol): shower gel, talc, body lotion, deodorant and eau du parfum lol. The guests will be able to smell me a mile off :rotfl:
H2B just said that we have to sit down tonight and work out how much we've spent, how much we've saved, and how much we've got left to save
Where's that bottle of wine lol0 -
nich - where are you getting married now? is it somewhere closer to home pm me if you like. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090

I just ordered my fascinator and we went to see a guy who does music on the way to the car boot sale and he's going to do a dj gig for us. He did OH's ex's sister (if that makes sense) last year and was good apparently.DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

lol yes I am definitely waiting for that, trying to be polite and saying 'great' and then swiftly moving the conversation on.....
Got my bra on saturday, the Clapham Debenhams had a few lines of wonderbra at half price so I got my strapless bra for the wedding for only £11....get in.... was going to get the matching knickers but I dont like thongs so I will probably end up not matching but then its rare for me to match anyway
Poppy: how about something along the lines of 'Your presence is present enough however if you would like to contribute, we will accept any donations towards a new bed' - or something like that. I realise its not 100% perfect but it might spur you on to think of something better :cheesy:0
