Well I haven't got round to trying out the food colouring yet  but my cake boxes have arrived :j This means I really have to finish my aunt's blind (she's decorating the boxes) and suddenly I've started really stressing about the timings again

Have a look see and tell me what you think:

    12pm delivery of flowers
    1pm photos of getting ready
    2pm wedding
    2:30 canapes and drinks
    3:00 photographs
    4:30 sit down meal
    6:30 mingling
    7:30 evening guests
    9:00 sausage baps :D

Lol smlsave that sounds like a good time plan (esp sausage baps :) )

I think ( ) my plan will be like this:

06:00 - Get up, bath etc
07:00 - 12:00 - Make up and hair and general fannying around for me, 5 BMs, Mum and Dad
12:00 - Photographer and video man arrive at house
    13:00 - Leave house
    13:15 - Church ceremony
    14:00 - Leave church
    14:30 - Arrive venue & Welcome Drink
    14:40 - 15:45 - Photos
16:00 - Sit down, speeches etc
    18:30 - Move into bar
19:30 - First dance and get the party started
    00:00 - Go to hotel

But of course, that's my plan and prob won't fit into that of everyone else's lol

I'm so excited!!!!!!!! My veil arrived in the post today :j :j :j

Got in from work and there was opened jiffy bag on the table. Thought H2B had opened it, but the inner package hadn't been opened, so i'm guessing the dog had got hold of it first :o I was a bit disappointed at first cos it was really really flatpacked. I honestly didn't think there was anything inside the tisse lol. But now I LOVE IT!!! Been posing for the last hour in it and my tiara.

So......I think my outfit is finally complete - I have dress, shoes, underwear, garter, tiara, veil, jewellry and my hair. But now i dont know how to wera my hair - up or down

I'm getting back into the swing of things now - mum and dad are down for Easter Weekend so we gonna put together a production line and get those pesky invites made and posted!!!

Hope everyone's planning is going well

At the mo, the timings for us look like this:

2.15pm - Groom, best man, ushers etc are at church
    3pm - wedding ceremony
4pm - arrive at reception venue (note it is 2 min walk from church) for drinks and canapes, photos etc
6pm - seated for dinner, maybe have speeches now or after dinner?
    6.30pm buffet dinner
    8pm - dancing starts
    12pm close

I havent quite worked out my timings yet, think I will have manicure and blow dry in the morning, a nice lunch, then BMs to come round around 1, we will need to leave at 245, photographers starting at 215, one of them at mine and one at the church. I dont want any pics until make up is on!! I have a really lovely roof terrace so would like to get a pic of us all on that. Not sure what my dad will make of all us girlies in one place!!

    morning all!

wow you're all organised with times! I'm terrible. My timeline looks like this so far....

    3pm : registry office
3.45 : everyone should be at hotel for reception - welcome drink
    4 : buffet
6.30 : anyone whos not staying for the dance should start to leave and everyone whos coming only to the dance starts to arrive. DJ should be set up and starting to play. Hotel staff will tidy up buffet so that people can 'pick' at whats left.
9pm : more food put out once people have done enough jigging about to get hungry again!

And I only worked most of that out last night with my mum and the manager of the hotel we're having the do at! OH is terrible, he keeps saying 'I'll go along with whatever you want to do'. I had to remind him last night that it's his wedding as well, and that if he doesn't agree with anything I'm organising, then to say so!

Got an idea for the buffet last night, and Mum says she'll give us the deposit for it which doesn't have to be paid til the end of June :j .

Going shopping with Mum today, to get an outfit, shoes and underwear..... my bridesmaid was coming with us but shes got something else to do :(. Still don't know whether to wear a dress or trousers... I don't wear dresses usually.

Thanks you three :) I'm all calmed down now.
But now i dont know how to wera my hair - up or down

Do you know how you're going to wear your veil Sammy? I think that sort of dictates how your hair should be, I'm wearing mine at the back of my head so I need an 'up' do to hold it. I think I spent 3 days googling hair styles to show my hairdresser.

Still don't know whether to wear a dress or trousers

Have you tried any outfits on? If you find a dress you love and feel comfortable in then go for that and the same if you find the perfect two piece too. Remember you can always post pictures of posible outfits for us to look at! :)

Oh! and we've picked our ceromony to have on the day - another thing knocked off the list

Well, thats the shopping over and done! Got into Aberdeen at 10 this morning, and left at 12.30. Was very lucky managed to find a lovely outfit and some other bits for a 'going away' outfit in two shops! I got a white linen jacket and trouser combo in the first shop, and a long red linen skirt as well, (I dont know which to wear just yet). Then we went to good old M&S for underwear and a couple of little things I needed. Also a very cute pair of shoes that they actualy had in my size! I have big feet which are very wide and I hate shopping for shoes, but found a great pair in M&S. If I get a chance to take photos I'll try and put them up for an opinion :).

Was going to get OH a new shirt and a tie but I think might be better to do it with him there!

I'm not wearing a veil but a fascinator and my hair is quite short at the moment so I'll just set it on and blow dry my hair round it I think. That's the good thing about short hair :).

Well done on your shopping day poppy!

I saw my cake boxes yesterday :D The little one needs to be raised up a little so I thnk I'll have to bring them into town to see what they look like on the stand. (p.s. when I say cake boxes they are in fact boxes to sit over my cakes and hide the fact that they are all different)

Also I had another thought...they just keep coming don't they:rolleyes:... since the cakes are being eaten as desert the poor evening people won't get any so the thought is that we bake a load of cupcakes and have these in the evening!

I'm glad I can put my ideas down here - I'm worried what my firends would think if I told them all my "cunning plans"

I'm going to miss everyone tomorrow and sat:( What shall i do with myself?
