Sml save, I am wearing my veil over my face. So with that in mind I'm either going to have a low hair do, or let it all hang loose. But with my current extensions - i wouldn't let them loose - certainly not on my wedding day! Just waiting for my hair lady to get back from holiday and then we'll have a brainstorming session.

Hi everyone! and hello babycakes
I tried out the food colouring in my wine and it didn't turn my tongue or teeth purple - Yay! So I'm going to ask my venue if they will do this for me.

Welcome charleypink :hello:
I have finally sorted my honeymoon, we are having it in January as we really want to visit Thailand and August is not a good time to go. We usually go to Cape Town anyway over new years and have a blessing planned there on 7th Jan (H2B has family there) so I will be taking the whole of Jan off, flying to CT on 1st jan, then we go to Dubai for 2 nights from 12th Jan, then Krabi, Khao Lak and Bankok, getting back to London on 30th Jan. I have never spent so much money on a holiday before... but i will be staying in all year and it will be the holiday of a lifetime :j
we will still get some kind of lastminute cheap deal after the wedding in August if we can.
phew, another thing off the list yay!0 -

hi all,
Still laughing at the Valium comment :rotfl: Glad to see that I am not the only one that is starting to get stressed out. To top it all, my computer has completely died on me and am having to borrow H2B's. Bit of a nightmare, as do everything online.
Am starting to get semi-organised, still haven't done a proper timeline. Is anyone having a horse and carriage? I am not sure what to do, as a relative has a vintage Bentley that he'll probably lend us for the day, but is worried about the steep hill to the church (we'd never get out of the bad books if something went wrong) and the cost of the horse is the same whatever the distance, even up he hill and back. If we decide just to have the carriage, it could take 50 minutes to get to the venue. Do you think this is too long? we have lots to keep everyone busy: canapes, minstrels, fire-eating, medieval (the theme, in case you hadn't guessed) giant chess etc. but I'd feel a bit left out! £600 seems ridiculous to spend to go up a hill and back!
Our best man is a real 'metrosexual' type and was not at all enamoured with Moss Bros, which I thought was not bad. Not sure whether to get a bargain at Moss Bros for the ushers and spend a bit more on OH and his BM in a posher place, or go over budget on all 5 guys. What do you think? I may have a 25% Moss Bros voucher up for grabs if so (but don't let that influence your decision)!
Does/did anyone have to partake in a marriage preparation day at their church. We did on Saurday- it was called 'To love and to cherish' :cheesy: Actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be; had heard horror stories from friends about compatibility tests. H2B and I keep taking the mickey now- we end each phone call with "I love and cherish youuuu!" :rotfl:0 -
when i say "just the carriage" I do mean with the horse!!!0

Hi Vonster-monster
We are having all suits hired from Moss Bros. One of the main reasons that we are going with them is because they are nationwide and so bridal party members who live in different areas of the country can go and get measured up there but to be honest I think that their basic package is quite good. At least they will all match and be the same. No-ne looks at the suits anyway - all eyes should be on you lol.Total for 2009: L'Oreal Lip Duo, Diary, Motability Guide
Thanks to everyone who post comps - you are all :cool2:0
