Yeah true but worth a try. Anything that causes him a problem is not a bad thing. As a sole trader he has outstanding CCJs against him and that could invalidate his status as Director of a Ltd Company.
• Unfortunately not. Having personal CCJ's has no bearing on one's right to act as a Director. Only if a Director is made bankrupt does that automatically lead to a disqualification (and even then only for the currency of the bankruptcy).

One can make an Application to the Court under Director Disqualification Proceedings; however, the evidence needed would be high and absent a conviction or some other major issue I doubt any action would be successful.
• Posters of these threads on this forum,

I refer to my previous posting on this forum, inviting those people with issues to contact me directly.

Some people have taken this step and we are in constructive conversations with a view to settling those disputes.

I will not engage in any conversations on a public forum to posters using a forum chat user names.

I will still offer my invite for anyone to write to me directly detailing their concerns/compliants with regards to Rentapad.

My email address is info@rentapad4lettings.co.uk , I will then read and address those issues with you directly.

Once again, I will give these issues/matters my my absolute attention.

• If anyone gets taken in by the Conman Thom Doherty on your own head be it. Ignore his postings on here.

There are no disputes - simply put he owes people money and will not pay. It's whats known as being a crook.

Well if we cant get him struck off does anyone care to join me in reporting him to Customs & Excise over his VAT. Rentapad was VAT registered and there is no way on earth he would have kept his books straight.

Yup, I moved out of my property last October, he's had plenty of time to negotiate. He can now negotiate with the bailiffs.

I'll assist in any way I can if it prevents this kind of thing happening anymore.

Hi Guys, I guess I am the latest sucker. Nevertheless, I will be pleased to join you in nailing this thief if we can. He has charged me VAT which I am sure he hasnt passed on the HMRC and pocketed a few thousand including the deposits from students. Maybe the inland revenue would be interested too? I wish I had tax-free dosh! I also have a CCJ against him. How can we enforce them? Can we club together and invite the !!!!! to take a cut it return for some of our money?

Mr Doherty,

I find it absolutely unbelievable that you would dare to post such a message on this thread. But then again, I do not owe vast sums of money to a lot of angry people....so who am I to judge.....
For the record, County Courts do offer the defendant the right to reply and defend themselves and for all those of us who have gone through this process with Rentapad, no reply has ever been made nor any attempt to contact us to resolve the matters.
This is yet an other tactic to attempt to discredit tennants and landlords alike fighting for what is righlty theirs.
To all prospectives tennants and landlords thinking of using Rentapad, do yourself a favour, when your are in Lapwing lane, keep on walking and you will find an other estate agent worth the look.
Finally, I beleive this thread is only the tip of the iceberg and one can only start guessing at the extend of the scam and long list of CCJ standing against Rentapad.

Agreed, my MP has actually followed up further on my query so I'm going to speak further with her today. I've also started speaking to the local press, so if anything we can get this man shut down.

If people want to add their personal email addresses to this thread or PM them to me, we can make a list of people who are affected.

I would just like to say that his own personal email address is more likely to be Thom@... or Thom.Surname@ and this one is a sales one that is easier to ignore

Yes, good for you! Please count me in. I am Eric Longstaff; e-mail me at DrE8730243@aol.com
If you need Thom's photograph for the newspaper, note he offers himself on the Web under his own name as an actor.....historically he played a landlord! Also, I tested the e-mail address offered by Thom Doherty on this thread, and of course, received no reply.
Keep in touch,
