had a bad night/ actually good day
yesterday my mate invited me out for dinner today and i got in such a flap about it that i was crying my eyes out and cut my legs up badly. also i was organised for xmas but then my sis moved back home from her boyfriends flat so all of the nice flat stuff id been buying for them to make a 'happy flat hamper' was defunct and i had no back up plan....sorted now though!
i finally decided this morning that i would go so hubby ran me a bath and helped me get clean and stuff (ocd was really bad due to high anxeity) coz i forget if ive washed and get worried ive not done it properly
then i met up with my mate and we even went to the cosmetic wholesalers which is possibly the best place to shop in the world
im really pround of myself and hubby is too
only bad things remaining are that my legs are killing me and the plumbers are coming out for the 3rd time tomorrow coz my downstairs neighbour is still effing and jeffing at us saying that waters leaking into his bathroom from ours (last plumber found nothing!) i hate having strangers in my flat and especilaly if theyre going to dirty up my bathroom0 -
sandy71 - PLEASE come back on here when you feel that low again. We might be only "internet" friends but we are real people behind these keys. If any of us live close enough we can come and sit with you and help you through the darkness
please xx
I hope everyone else is surviving, haven't posted for a bit as just been too fed up, but still read every day. For some reason today I've been on cloud 9 all day so am now beginning to think I'm a bit bi polar as my circumstances haven't changed one iota since yesterday???
Keep strong everyone xxFFW: Weight 06/01/07 11 st 6lbs 01/02/09 - 9st 6 lb
How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on... when in your heart, you begin to understand. There is no going back. There are some things that time cannot mend... some hurts that go too deep. That have taken hold.0 -
Thanks for the welcome to the thread! Hope everyone is coping.
What AD's have people tried so far? I've been on sertraline, fluoxetine, citalopram and sertraline for a second time (most recent) the only effects I seem to notice are the numbing ones, all the other symptoms I got previously still happen, so I'm taking a break from them now.
The other strange thing is when my last serious bout almost crippled me I was in the fittest condition of my life due to a very physical job, and yet they say exercise is a genuine aid to recovery/keeping it at bay. I would say at that time my mood was incredibly unpredictable from day to day where as now it's more stable, but this could be the stress thing and not exercise related.
Off to bed now to try and sleep.0 -

Ive tried fluoxetine/citalopram
anti 'd are not for me , for some yes but not for me !
I think the only way out of depression is to retrain yr brain/ yr way of thinking which is so hard to do
If you don't want to get up...GET UP !
if you just want to hide away...go to the shop or something , say hello to a neighbour or visit a friend
Its about doin the opposite to what yr body and brain are tell you to do..
Trouble is it takes alot of strength and effort..i do try it but my deppression is just so over powering.0 -
I wish someone would come along , wrap me in a warm blanket , carry me off on there shoulders....take away my troubles & worrys !0
