Diva, so sorry to hear about Tristan. That's really tough. Thoughts and prayers for him and you. Hope Treacle is better now too.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
  • Thank you both so much...

Treacle has been a bit quiet and dozy since this second fit in 8 days... I hope she gets back to being herself soon.

  • Diva - hugs to you and Tristan and Treacle. Hope it all goes well.

Hugs to all - and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Little bear is still not napping but is upstairs while I recover. I love hearing all the stories of what other toddlers have done - halight, I hope you are taking note! I will be very surprised if the sudocrem is the worst I get. Meanmarie - thank you, I do think that I am doing the best I can and little bear is a very active, co-ordinated, mischievous and loving little lad. Dear heart is, I think, upset, but I shall just work with it. I have always taken the attitude that little bear will progress at his own speed, and I just let him get on with it. There just seem to be so many targets these days, and I feel so conscious that perhaps I should be pushing him or training him, when I am confident that at the moment he should go forward at his own pace.

Well, upward and onward. I am undecided about exactly where to start next, so I shall start with a nice cup of milky tea.

Sounds like a good plan, I might just join you. I'll have lemon in mine, though.;)

While I'm here, ((((HUGS)))) to MSDiva, and good wished for Tristan and little Treacle,

    (((((MSD)))) & kisses as well!
So many of the folks on here have had bad/tragic news since Christmas, feel like crying for us all - think I should light an entire churchful of candles for everyone!
Just tried to put in a photo of candles, but went all silly - imaginary ones will have to do, does the thought count?:D
Toddler in bed & I SHOULD be washing up & ironing. Little boy I childmind here in an hour, so better do something & get tea started so I can play with the littlies then. DS1 still looking for a job (was made redundant before Christmas) with no luck. Got a fiancee, little boy & a mortgage & we can only help a bit financially (odd bags of shopping etc). At least he took out insurance with his mortgage so that will be paid, just other bills to worry about.
Hope this week/month/year gets better for us all!
Off to get another cuppa & get on with shepherd's pie for tea, see you later.

Diva massive (((hugs))) to you for Tristan and little Treacle
  • Hi all,

Well, after a lot of lurking and a few tentative posts on here, it's official. I am now OS... Today I had HM bendy-veg soup for lunch (enough left in the fridge for a couple more bowls and two pots in the freezer), I have dough rising in the kitchen (it's taking its time and it's a miracle it's working at all as, when I pulled the pack of bread mix out of the back of the cupboard, it said B/B 12 Sept 08) and I've just baked a batch of Twink's hobnobs. :D
