Morning everyone
DH just gone to work, teenage DS still in bed (not at college 'til 12), toddler still asleep (!) so got a few mins to myself! Ought to be washing up & starting WM, but what the heck.
Did 4 loads of washing & drying yesterday,, mostly bedding so hardly anything to iron. :j Need to go to town this morning, hoping not to spend much, though, & need to get on with mega-declutter. Sorted out loads of stuff little 'un has outgrown for friend with younger child, sold a few things on Ebay so need to pack up.
DS got interview at a supermarket today - keeping fingers crossed 'cos he's been looking for a p/t job for ages without success. Even just a few hours on Sat/Sun would be good for him (& my purse as I won't have to fork out so much for his social life! :rotfl: )
Family of child I mind is moving soon, so I may lose him as it'll be too far for them to come (they'll find someone closer to them), so that income will be lost. I do some stitching for a magazine, so will have to nag for more work to try & fill the gap. Hope weekend job has more work soon, as bills show no sign of coming down, some still going up, & we're feeling rather squeezed!
DH having some time off soon, so want to do garden - going to grow some edible stuff this year so need to tidy up, prune & start digging bottom end of garden ready to plant.
Can hear little 'un shouting now, so signing off.
Hugs 'n' kisses for you all - see you later on.

Morning all :hello:
Halight I hope you get some good news soon on the job front
Coldstream how awful for you. I hope everything is ok
Specsappeal ((hugs)) I hope you managed to find something pleasurable yesterday even with your dreadful news
Hester that doesnt sound pleasant at work
((hugs)) to all in need, poorly or just feeling down and for those worried about the job situation
Today when I get home will be chicken and wild mushroom risotto. I ended up bringing a huge container of food in for my boss who's wife recently left him. Maybe I should point him to Mr Badexamples threads and start him cooking
I have tons of things that I should really get done around the house but atm I have absolutely no energy. DH says it is all because of stopping smoking and that it will all settle down soon. I do hope so as I expected to feel better, not worse.
I must scoot or this will turn into a moan as I'm feeling a biot down today.
Be good everyone and have a lovely day

hope everyone has a great day0 -
Good morning to everyone, still a bit dark here so not too sure what the weather is like.
I will be doing an extra long dog walk via school this morning , going to try 3 times a week to walk a bit further although I have to watch my time as I have to go to work.
I think it will be HM soup for tea got a nice crusty loaf at tesco last night(cheap) and cakes we made on Sunday for pud.
I hope everyone has a nice Tuesday,M0 -
Morning Guys!
Slept a little better last night:j :j :j Thanks for all the lovely messages and PM's. I wont know about my hours till the panel writes to me which I was told could take about 2-3 weeks:eek:    ....really nerve wrecking stuff!!
DW & WM will go on later as neither is full yet and I may, if I'm lucky get away with the WM being on today, but we will see.
Dinner tonight is my favourite....Shepherds Pie, Cabbage & Peas/sweetcorn. I have spent zero on food so far on this months GC and OH has £40 to fill the car with diesel and get 6 FR eggs.
I had an email through from my milkman and he has a special on some general items, so I have added a loaf of bread and some grapfruit juice to my order Saturday and its cheaper than the Supermarket. It works out cheaper for me to buy just what I need from him than going to a big store and wasting money on things I dont need.
Anyway, I have to go as my nurse should be here any minute.
Hugs to all.

Morning everyone,
Glooomy here again today. SAD is laying me low at the moment, trying to keep to normal activities, but hard going. Upped the medication, but that gives its own problems.... small problems compared to some folks' I know.
Went to new sewing club last night and got some good help fitting my ball gown (very OS, making my own!).
Going to Harrogate for a meeting tonight then on to visit friend at Northallerton. OS will be doing the market in the morning. I'll be able to replace my scarf that went in the Saniflo:eek: I hope. Home tomorrow in time to do a pedicure for someone. Then some more sewing as there's a tight deadline for the dress.
Have a good day everyone, I must get sorted for work in a bit and pack a bag for tonight."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all!!
Once again thanks for all the messages. Postmortem was done yesterday and in the words of the coroner(?) - it wasnt what we thought it would be. so at the moment it is being treated as suspicious. Nephew worked saturday night as a club doorman so maybe there was an altercation of some sort?? they are also running extra tests. very upsetting for BIL and SIL. funeral wont be for at least a couple of weeks. DH has decided not to go up there straight away as SIL is very numb and doesnt want to see anyone.
Today i plan to keep busy and get on with lots of housework. Tea will be a beef and barley soup. the recipie is from 'the soup bible' which i got from the library a couple of days ago. looks delish - fingers crossed it will be.
DH will be wallpapering the 'feature wall' in the spare room, then all i have to do is get some shelves put up and hang the curtains and it will be done at last.
hugs to all those who want/need them. xx0 -
morning all,
had some HM lasagne last night but I always seem to make the mince too thick/dry hmmm
Chilli tonight, yummy yummy! (since I accidentally got halfway through cooking it last nightbefore realising it wasn't a bolognese base- need to label my bags before freezing them me thinks)
Off to the doctors this morning for some blood tests and some more job applications! what fun
hope everyone has a good day and thank you to all for the welcomes yesterday0 -
mnorning all!
2 days off now:j had some bad news at work though - have to change shift partners again, am not happy about it as I get on great with the current chap and we work well together, not too keen on the replacement:mad:
PP - glas you had a better night, also nice to see you supporting your milkman(DH's a milkman;) )
(((hugs))) to coldstream and specsappeal
Fingers crossed for DS1 as the job centre rang with news of a possible job for him!:j
DH and I are going to Kidderminster shopping today to spend the rest of our M & S vouchers and get a few groceries.
Have cleaned through the house and there's not much ironing to do so will probably leave it till tomorrow.
Good news from Mum this morning as I have a cheque for £125 on the way as payment for cleaning a holiday cottage.
Hope you all have a good day
Take care xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
morning all and lots of big hugs and positive thoughts being sent out
looks like its going to be a nice morning here so i am putting some of yesterdays laundry out on the line just to give it a blast of freshness
i am driving my dad to his chiropodist appointment later and need to pick up some butter/marg as i somehow forgot to get it yesterday, but thats all i have to go out for today except for dog walking and animal feeding
taplady - - i havent been to kidderminster since the old cattle market was there -- must be 20 years ago i think -- is it good for shopping?
redruby - i think i have a battered copy of the kite runner i can send to you if you wish - let me check my shelf and i will confirm later
anyway off to put the oxtail stew i made yesterday into bags and into the freezer then i am going to make a cherry cake - i always use a recipe that has a bit of semolina in it - but all i could get yesterday was a packet of birds whisk and serve semolina - do you think thats the same?
have a good morning all0
