I have been talking to some of the people at Tiscalli, who are going to bring out the same package as TalkTalk but at £19, plus not the super-slow broadband but 8mbt
I'll be hanging on for a few months so I can move to this.0 -

Before going with any ISP check them out on:

Go to the 'compare' link and look at a number of ISPs against each other. Unfortunately Tiscali doesn't get rated very highly.

I fully agree. I always wonder how such poor companies seem to attract the large volumes of customers. it can only be price.

Hi
I'm currently with orange Broadband, joined when it was Wanadoo and have never had any probs(except maybe overpricing). Also am with BT landline. Would like to pay just one fee per month and save some money so was looking at Talk Talk. Am i right in thinking they're to be avoided? If so who's the best for an all inclusive package?
Many ThanksCath x

I am sure they are working to remedy the problem but I would wait until they get things sorted before signing up with them.
You can find what other ISPs can help you by searching the info at:

I was speaking to someone today who has recently done this. He is furious as the broadband does not work (although he is already paying for it) and it now takes him on average 40 minutes to try and get through to talk to someone about it.
Makes BT look quite good in comparison.

On the 17th of October I was told by Primus that my broadband connection would be active in the next 14 days but it isn't. I have telephoned them at least once a week since and every time I get told that it will be active in the next 7 days. I contacted BT and they have takeen ezee dsls tag off my line and they say Primus have a tag on it now instead. Yesterday I was told I would have broadband on the 20th of December I am really starting to get fed up with this.
Primus sent me a telephone bill on the 28th November 2006 for £1.65, 22p was for calls, £1.19 for Charges, Credits and Adjustments and 25p for VAT. I emailed them when I got the bill to find out what the £1.19 was for but they have yet to respond. Doesn't look as good as it sounded or is it just my luck??0 -
Only from experience...that I was forever picking up viruses... my daughter who does use IE and OE still has her confuzer in the local shop half a dozen times a year to be debugged.
Using Firefox or Opera I NEVER get any problems
I have been told IE7 is very good but I'll stick with what I am happy with.
For Email....Fastmail.com is superb. I never see any junk mail, only get mail I ask for...no cold calling !!!!!0 -
Jo4 - I think you have just been unlucky !! I have been with them since June and not a blink !! I suggest you call them on the freephone and ask to speak to the Duty Manager and explain your problems to him. You might get sorted out quicker that way."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0
