Before TalkTalk broadband was free, it was a dire service even when up and running, I escaped after 3 months as it was next to useless and I was paying for broadband, poor speeds as in downloads at 0.5k/s, ropey email, news server fell over loads of times that now they haven't even bothered getting it up and running.
TalkTalk broadband was an awful service when you were paying for it, it's only got worse now they pretend to give it away. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

With Primus, you do indeed keep the landline with BT, however you need to have your calls automatically routed through their system, which isn't a bad choice at all.
Pay BT £11/ month and get free caller display.
Pay Primus £0 per month for their phone service and get free evening and weekend calls.
Pay Primus £10 per month and get their broadband, to get Primus broadband you need at least the above free option.
As your line rental remains with BT, you can still use BT for calls as well as other operators such as 1899 and 18185.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Am I correct in thinking that you would only need 1899 during the day as you could use Primus at evenings and weekends and still use 18185 for calling mobiles?0 -

That is correct, yes. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... I was considering signing up to madasafish but now I think this is a better offer. How long does it take to sign up to this company and how long before I would be on broadband? Does is company offer good customer service? I never noticed Martin recommending this provider, I wonder why, perhaps I missed his recommendation?0 -

P.S. Sorry, I did not realise that BexTech had already answered your queries!
the only delay is BT accepting the swap-over for the call charges. The free connection took in total about 4 weeks and the free modem arrived promptly before the connection date."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
