Hi, is anyone able to sign up to the newsletter on this site?
http://www.bushgear.co.uk/ (bottom right hand side of page)

They enter you into a draw for £100 of vouchers (and they sell Uggs :D) but I can't get it to work, just a page not found message when I press enter. I emailed them and got a reply back saying they couldn't see any problems, so was wondering if it's just my computer? (I doubt it though)

If other people are successful I will obviously post it on the main board.

We have become aware that a test email of a proposed Rail Europe email newsletter was inadvertently and in error mailed out to a number of our customers, of which you may be one. This may have contained the email addresses of up to 10 other Rail Europe customers.

This error was identified at an early stage of the distribution process and we were able to quickly halt it, so limiting the number of people who were affected. This was a completely unintentional systems error and entirely the responsibility of Rail Europe. I would like to apologise unreservedly for this accidental mistake, which was caused by an IT systems issue. I would also like to reassure you that no other personal information at all was attached to, or could be derived from, the email. We take our customers' data protection and security very seriously and fully appreciate that this situation may have caused concern to those affected.

We are currently investigating and reviewing the entire sequence of events and our systems which led to this error. We will also be putting new procedures in place in the light of this incident to ensure that another situation such as this cannot happen again in the future.

Once again, please accept my sincerest apologies.

    Yours faithfully

Just to make everyone aware that Maxim comps now look as though they are run by Topfox which is on "the list" of sites to avoid

10 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

    2minutedraw
    4FreeUK
    ABCWins
    Clash Club/Clash media
    Club La Costa
    Consumer Lifestyles
    Consumer Opinions
Craftomatic Beds (Comps appear to be just a way to get a salesman into your home, especially if vulnerable/alone)
    Emailinform
    EZ Prize Giveaway
    Fair Exchange
    GetMeATicket
    GetYourBillsPaid
    GreatUKsurveys
    Guide2Win
    InstantPrizeDraw
    Just-Rewards
MyChild (have pestered with phone calls quite badly on some comps, but Compers have reported wins in the I Won forum)
    MyConsumer
    MyOffers
NoizeMakesEnemies (Care - your profile with name, address, phone number & email appear to be on show with no way to make it private!!)
    Opinioniser
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)
    Prize4U
    Plum Offers
    RewardsToday
    Simple2Win
    Space Kitchens (see thread here)
    Tickbox
    Topfox
    Toyhound
    UK-PrizeDraw
    VoiceInACrowd
    Vouch4me
    Weatherseal
Willowbrook (chairs) (have pestered with phone calls quite badly on some comps - see here and also here)
    Win 4 Now
    Win24
Zenith Windows (linked to Weatherseal above)

☼ thankyou to all who post the comps ☼

:o:o 'Pass the Parcel' game sounds fun. Do you guys think it is too late to join and understand the rules!

I would like to join and risk getting addicted to the game  but not sure if the end date is nearing!!! Also not sure where some rules are such as the number if parcels you can create, winning chances, etc ?

    One quickie question sorry :o

I've just been reading how lots of you enter your comps i.e. thread start time, descending and time beginning. I did that but it seems all jumbled together i.e. varying end dates.

Is it possible to sort it by closing date i.e. it will begin at E: 13/1 then go to E: 14/1; E: 15/1 etc etc

Sorry if it's been discussed a zillion times

Are you also changing the option 'sort by' to 'thread title'?
