dear moderators can u create a thread next to the i won thread thats for people to post info on items they won but dont want., eg runner up prizes are often not what we wanted so if we can say what we won and dont want ( eg a dvd or vouchers ) we could offer to give away the items we dont want.. maybe first to ask, or offer something in exchange for it ...whatever lets just start that thread cheers

Sorry dont think its a good idea at all.
It would only be another way of encouraging peeps to enter every comp going knowing that there's an easy way of swoping or exchanging any prize. Would get away from the entering comps as a hobby for prizes really wanted
    to entering every comp going.

I myself give any prizes i win that were runners up prizes that i didn't want to friends or relatives.

Also its againt the rules to exchange personal info.

Totally agree Elverman - I was just about to post something similar. ;)

There are many other ways of redistributing runners up prizes which aren't entirely appropriate for the winner.

But a new thread isn't going to be one of them.

I think the BGs have enough on at the moment, seems to be a spate of comps being pasted that are duplicates. If it wasn't for the members who seem to have photographic minds over what's already been posted I'd be in a right mess.

Does anyone know if cokezone will be ending anytime soon? I have some points to spend but theres no comps on there I fancy entering at the mo, dont wanna leave it too late though... just that I noticed big multipack cans of coke no longer had coke zone on them so got me thinking.

    Thanks

I agree with Elverman too, I think we would see a big rise in people entering for things they dont actually want if there were a thread like that

Hi Zebra :) I used the 'sort by end date' method until I'd caught up and now always sort the threads by 'thread start time' and 'descending'- That works for me, and means that, providing I do this daily, I don't miss any comps that end early (or are for that particular day only). Good luck! :D
I'm not sure how you sort by 'thread start time', but if I'm understanding correctly, if you start doing them that way, won't you miss the one's that have already been posted?

To start with you would have to do comps ending & sort by start time if you dont wanna miss any comps out, theres no other way to do it without it being time consuming at the start.

Thanks Laura, but the more I think about it the more confused I get! :o
If I want to get up to date, whichever way I sort them I think I'm going to miss some out - and obviously those that I do miss out are those that I'm destined to win!

Zebra, I switched methods in July this year, I used to do them by ending date a day or two before they finished but now I just do the ones posted daily, this is how I achieved this.... (it took a while and I don't work so had lots of time) Firstly I made myself a Start date, say 8am Monday 12th January, then from then on I did all the newly posted ones on a daily basis, and I also did as much as I could of the ones ending soon by sorting them into date order and ploughing through, it seems a daunting task but gradually as you get more and more done as they are posted there are less and less need doing in the date order method. I honestly don't think I miss anything now that I want to enter and it's a much quicker method too. Hope that makes sense and hope it helps :D
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)
