Can I ask all your compers a question about a win....all points of views gratefully accepted... :D
I won a Years supply (which was then upped to 2 years for a delay in posting the win out!) of Weightwatchers deserts/yoghurts. I received the vouchers today and they're all there (2 books worth!) but the only problem is they all have an expiry date of 30.06.2009.
Now while the quantity of vouchers may last 2 years, given the expiry date is less than 6 months away, it's kinda unfair as they can't be used. Am I being unreasonable in emailing the lady and pointing this out to her? I don't want to sound ungrateful as it's a lovely win (also got a Champneys gift set with it, a MyChild comp).

Would you email her back and point out the expiry date on the vouchers?

How many vouchers have you been given? Is it like one a day for 2 years or a couple a week?
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I got a 'years' supply of vouchers for puddings - they gave 52 vouchers (1 a week - they must think I'm on a diet!)

But that was october and the vouchers expired in Dec - but as mine was a frozen product I didn't think I could really complain - even though I didn't get all my products as they were discontinued in the only store i could get them from....

Quick question - do all text comps go in the phone/text/postal thread, or just ones that cost £1 ish etc? Sorry if it sounds a dim question (clue in the name etc) but thought I should double check, I've got one to post that costs 25p but is a great prize and don't want peeps to miss out.

    too many comps..not enough time!

I would have said that all texts go in the phone/text/postal thread to be honest and web entry/email ones on the main section

Ok will post it there. I must remember to check that thread for normal priced text comps as I like to enter those, and they're not on the main board anymore.

I won a years supply of persil a couple of years ago, took ages for the vouchers to come - had to chase it up in the end and eventually received them. It was £60 vouchers (12 lots of £5) and they only had less than 2 months left on them...but it was just before christmas that I received them and the vouchers were not only able to be spent on persil but also impulse, lynx, dove and some others in the same group so I was able to buy christmas presents with them

the other option is (depends on whether you have got the whole 2 years worth at once) that some supermarkets accept vouchers whether you have bought the stuff or not? so perhaps you may be able to use the vouchers against other stuff too?

  • AAAAAARRRGH!!!

I need to vent my frustration. Just found out that there is a problem with the way my email address works with Windows Mail (some stupid spam protection software on AOL email) which has meant that NONE of the email I've sent over the last 5 weeks or so has actually been sent!!! All those wasted comping hours  :( :( :(

I'm absolutely gutted. I know I shouldn't be because it's only competitions but I can't help but think of all those wasted hours. At least I found out now I suppose.

What happened was that I sent an email to a friend this evening because she kindly offered to print off my son's homework. Anyway she didn't get it so I thought I'd better test it by sending one to my other email address. Nothing. Confused, I logged in directly online through the AOL homepage only to discover that the software has been blocking all my mail as it could potentially be spam    . I had no warnings whatsover from Windows Mail. I am furious.

  • Hi. I have been receiving Martin's emails for a while now and from time to time have a look at the forums. Clearly I too want to start winning prizes in competitions and although I can see the links to the various comps I can't find where you have all started from?!! Does this make sense?? How do you go about joining a certain group e.g. for last year. . .win £2008 in 20008?? You all seem to have won . . . and indeed continue winning. . . stacks of stuff. How???!!! Do you literally enter every competition every day?? Is there a thread for people starting off? Am I being trully thick?? Just had my third child so maybe my post pregnancy brain is playing tricks on me?? Can anyone out there help me?? Please??!!
