Morning everyone
I got home yesterday and slept round the clock - obviously needed it and feel much better today....and thank you for all the supportive phone calls/Pm's and posts....
I'm also excited as going to meet a fellow DFW for first time for tea and a natter -:j
So I have decided not to do any work from home today until I have cleaned up the [STRIKE]bear[/STRIKE] guinea pig pit as that will make me feel much much better.
I have three more new clients to book appointments with - but rest of Feb is pretty much booked so now filling the diary for march.
Will finish final draft of builders letter including a counter offer and send to surveyor tomorrow, ready for his reurn from holiday..
Plus will prepare a new complaint letter to insurance company this weekend which as you;ve pointed out Z will be for the full monty (ie adding on £36k of lost earnings/business interruption while I've had to project manage this claim plus all other costs I haven't already included).
.......OOOOhhh! loss adjuster has just replied to my "request for final response" email contesting his offer of a final £8k - He is now saying it is an INTERIM payment and that he hasn't finished evaluating my claim (...he's had it since early november last year) - although he does not give a date for this to happen, nor an estimated total figure. Methinks He's trying to wriggle out of the "final reponse" request....;) .....and must be reacting to yet more chase up calls from the insurance company following the two phone calls I have made to them already this week.......
Time to up the ante......will keep up the pressure with my "definitive" complaint letter to insurance company this weekend .....(to be copied to the CEO's of all respective companies and sent to their home addresses courtesy of Companies House records........... )
Hope you all have a good day - and hugs to those that need them

Oh god you could be writing about US. Not a flood the bally oil leak. June 2007 it was and they are STILL maintaining it was negligence on our part, so they are not bally well going to chuffing pay. It make me     just thinking about it.
Cos we aren't there, we have had to put it in the hand of the solicitor as well. £1500 so far. don't get me wrong the solicitors are doing their best. But if the stupid insurance company (don't go with AXA) has settled 12 months ago, we would have danm well needed them.
So your situation must be even worse. And don't expect any response about the complaing other than Guinea pig poo (BS in other words). They won't EVER settle now. Really sorry to say that Wol. But I swear insurance companies have no idea how much things cost. With us it was like, 'oh yes its all fine no worries' etc, then when they got the final bill it was suddenly 'oh you are negligent we aren't going to pay'
Still the solicitors have found someone to argue our case from a technical perspective. And the best bit was that he has said that if they weren't going to pay the claim they should have kept the tank, so that our expert could go and get an opinion on it. By not keeping it they have shot themselves in the foot there!
Really feeling for you. But well done about getting the work in. At least you know you still have what it takes to keep body and soul together.
Hugs mate really feel for you

Thee and me both seem to be :wall: :wall: :wall:
Sounds like we need to crack open a bottle of wine over the Internet and
swap stories one day/night - time zones permitting of course:D
Are you any further forward with immigration....or am I still winning - my ETS (EStimated Time of Settlement/Sort-out) is currently end of March...although to be fair that doesn;t include actually getting my hands on any dosh - raising a cheque takes them 3 months from past experience
....so if getting the money is classified as the end result for hte purposes of our little wager, my ETS is end of June:eek: ...Hope you're winning Hun and PM me if I can be of any help

Oooh...I feel a class action coming on.........and a support thread......
I would normally say Go For It Wol..but a word of advice.....
you are still having to invest an awful lot of time in working through your claim, and, as you mentioned earlier, you've got loads of work coming in that you don't have time to squeeze in for some time...
If you are seriously thinking of going down this route, be aware it will take even more of your time up...
IF you think you can juggle the extra commitment that it would need time-wise, then Go For It...just be aware that burn-out can be closer than you realise sometimes....
I'm not trying to put a downer on the idea, just being realistic.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Very quietly *whispers* i haven't started it yet......oops. I will start on Monday. I must get it in by the end of February..
Just read that other thread and your comment on it. I WISH I had known all that before. We were SO naive. We just thought it would all be sorted. I didn't take photos, of anything really. I know that my depression didn't help, but now our naivety still my cost us over £40000.....
