Aftermath chez Wol2 –moving forwards after the flood

I would normally say Go For It Wol..but a word of advice.....
you are still having to invest an awful lot of time in working through your claim, and, as you mentioned earlier, you've got loads of work coming in that you don't have time to squeeze in for some time...
If you are seriously thinking of going down this route, be aware it will take even more of your time up...
IF you think you can juggle the extra commitment that it would need time-wise, then Go For It...just be aware that burn-out can be closer than you realise sometimes....
I'm not trying to put a downer on the idea, just being realistic...
Thanks GJ - you;re right and I don;t have the time to spare at the moment - and also need to settle my claim before I get involved in anything else. I've posted on the other thread and if any of those OP's wants to Pm me they can...but that is as far as it goes for now.
Hope things are OK with you and the knee is still improving - and that you can make it to Manchester.

Yep - did the last cage on saturday - unfortunately the two boys are going through the "scrap for top piggie" stage and if they don;t sort it out soon I may have to separate them - and that means one wil have to go for adoptionas I can;t fit any more cages into my dining room
Hopefully order has been restored now and Bailey is still top pig (although Charlie clearly fancies his chances....just like his dad Beechie boy... hence why this time I didn;t try and separate them and just let them get on with it)...Hooray - I've still got all my fingers intact

I'm sure Beechie boy would be happy to "entertain them". to ensure good behaviour....;)

Very quietly *whispers* i haven't started it yet......oops. I will start on Monday. I must get it in by the end of February..
Just read that other thread and your comment on it. I WISH I had known all that before. We were SO naive. We just thought it would all be sorted. I didn't take photos, of anything really. I know that my depression didn't help, but now our naivety still my cost us over £40000.....
chev
Hi chev
Have you started it yet then
Chev my dear please don;t beat yourself up......You weren't naive - how can you be expected to know how the system works and what to do when the insurance system itself doesn;t seem to know - and unless you are part of the building trade in some way the whole refurbishment thinige is just too frightening and complicated for words -
I think its symptomatic of the way insurance claims for these types of major disasters are handled - there is no client liasion officer who takes the time out to project manage/explain the claims procedure and the poor client (ie us) is left foundering. I've only learnt about it from bitter experience of all the things I SHOULD have done/been alert to but didn;t to protect myself- and just hope I can assist other people to have a smoother ride in future. I wouldn;t want anyone else to go through what thee and me are still going through....
My parents are currently in New Zealand - just about to travel off to Dunedin. They've been there now for about three weeks and coming back next weekend - they're loving it.
Hugs to you my dear and better get started on those forms????:p

Sorry to hear of the problems hope you get it all sorted soon - so sock it to them.
The piggies sound like fun if a little feisty at the mo - glad you kept your fingers out of the way this time because they have a nasty bite:D
Oh and if you're in Manchester at the weekend give Numpty a hug from me too - he won't be expecting it but will probably enjoy it:D
My business is now up and running on a very tight shoestring, I have begged and blagged stuff and maybe paid a little along the way but it is there with a shiny new website but as yet no paying customers, just enquiries:rolleyes: Thanks for your help and support though, it was appreciated, I am so glad that I didnt get a loan.:j0 -
