Blimey, wol, there is *so* much you're having to cope with - makes me feel like opening a bottle of wine just reading your thread! Parents .... who'd have 'em? My mum gives me enough trouble from Liverpool - yours are really socking it to you from NZ ... hope it gets sorted soon.

    Hi Poor Hi Lula

    It went something like
Day 1 - we've just sold the family home and the house we're buying is 4 doors down from the family home

Day 3 - don't forget darling we're going away on holiday for a month in 7 days time to the other side of the world

Day 6 - oh - dont worry about the house sale darling - if you rememebr we gave you POA last year so you're acting on our behalf in our absence

I seriously don;t mind being POA- as long as they don;t meddle..some hope!!....and unfortunately the solicitor who did know what they were doing has been absent over the last few days so it's all gone a bit pear-shaped in their office and I have been trying to sort it all out and get them back on track..

Right must finish this work so I can bill tonight otherwise I really will be up the creek this month and own;tbe able to come to Manchester. I have decided however that I will send an email to the solicitor later tonight to confirm the telephone instructions I gave yesterday ...at least that will get things back/keep them on track and keep my parents protected.

    Nite all...sweet dreams ..

    xxxx

Sounds very stressful Wol, I didn't know that the person could still make decisions with power of attorney - thought that was the whole point of it

    *hugs*

Dad had some work done on his van in exchange they were taking our old car and wheels. Now they've finished the work, they don't want the car. Cost - £350
Then we need money for my nan's birthday party and present. Cost - £100 + gawd knows how much
Dad decides he wants to go to a evening do thing. Cost - £150 + spends (hotel price drinks!)

We just never seem to be able to get ahead :(
