The "Loose Change Pays Your Debt 2009" Challenge

Hi would like to join please.
I already keep a bowl and put my 10s 5ps and copper in. I usually use this to pay for my newspaper. I also have a money box and put a pound coin in that each day. Then if I need change itcomes out of the money box. The notes get paid into the bank.
I have £5 in loose change. I will put an extra £1 coin in the money box for each £1 of loose change I use for news papers etc. Hope that all makes sense.0 -
Loose change:
Hi to all newcomers, especially Jo – I’ve seen you on flylady and sealed pot! I’m so glad you’ve all come! I was feeling lonely on here! I don’t know where everyone else has gone. Hopefully whoever started this thread will come back and assign you your numbers.
I’ve added 10p to each of my pots today, not much but then I didn’t buy anything today either! Went out with a friend and she treated us to hot chocolate which we drank sitting in the sun enjoying a marvellous view of Surrey. It was beautiful up there (Newlands Corner)"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I must apologise for my slackness of late - been really busy at work, counting money (lol) so the last thing I want to do is count my sorry amount of change when I get home!
I'm going to make a concerted effort to count it every week though, it's nice to see how much it mounts up during the month, then when it gets full pay it in
Will have a count tomorrow and update you lovely lot.All Saints Addict!Saving points for Xmas '12Tesco 836 Boots 8585 Nectar 2710 -

Hellooooo! Just popping to catch up with you all if anyone is still here! I've had lots of NSD's so nothing for the pot, but it's all good really. Hope everyone's well. Wonder where the OP is, hope he/she is ok and nothing terrible has happened to them."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Yes, much better thanks. Feeling really good today. Still have a headache tho! Just given in and taken painkillers. Just opened an ING account, re Martin's email. Looking forward to getting my £20!
How are you today Jo? Hope you find a new pot, I noticed someone on the sealed pot thread is using a pringles tube. It never ceases to amaze me all the things you can use! Someone on there as a tin can and keeps it in the cupboard with all their other tin cans!
I'm sure Guesty has good reason for not being online. If he/she isn't back in 6 months I will take over the thread and give you all your numbers!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I'd like to join, but I'm not fussed about getting a number...
I am aiming to be debt free in 85 days so every penny I can get to reduce this will really help! I'll be stashing 5p 20p and £2 coins mainly because my bank won't take more than a few bags at a time and I don't like to queue to pay in £3 at a time. Might also do 10p coins, but not sure yet.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Please may I join too? We always seem to have loose change lying around on bookshelves, bedside tables, etc that could actually be used to bring our debt free day nearer.:hello: Proud to be dealing with my debts :j

Hi newbies, welcome! Hope we all manage to get lots of money and pay off our debts.
I managed to pilfer some change from DH's pantaloons when I was doing the washing and it is now safely residing in my pots. I've also started rounding up every time we pay for something on the debit card and payin hte difference to our CC with the highest rate of interest. Have managed to pay them an extra £6 this month by doing that so that's good. I really really really want to get out of debt!
How are you all getting on? Put any more in your piggybanks? Has anyone got to £50 yet? I've got £35 so far, so won't be long til I can pay it toward a debt"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
