Thanks Guesty for the membership no.
I went into the village today, got some of the Superdrug 5%off stamps and posted a letter to France. Also converted £1 of pennies in to a pound coin, and got enough change from my shopping to put £6.20 into each of my pots! Yay! Have counted up and have got £19.50 in my loose change pays my debt pot, so am very happy. It's not at all bad for just over a month, especially as we are completely borasic at the mo!

I know what you mean Buffy, I was holding my breath as I received my change today, couldn't wait to see if I had any 5p's or what change I was gonna get! Sad eh!

  • Hi
We have a ceramic baby fund pot which we put £1 coins in a debt tin £2 and holiday fund 50p! We don't do it all the time (with exception of 50p) cos we couldn't afford to. But we must have at least £200 in the baby fund. We're planning to empty it when full and put in savings account and start again.
We're saving to make F&F offers. No point having a baby if we can't put a roof over it's head!

Because I'm not making the full payments to some of my debts this month because I'm still looking for work I'm going to bag up the massive £8 that I have saved so far and pay it off to keep them off my back. I'm going to do this monday so I will update once it is done.

Ooh, me too! My dad gave me it from when he used to have a pub years ago. Where did you get yours from?

Can I join as well? I just paid £3 in loose change off my credit card and will count up again at the start of next month.

  • I nearly had to raid my pot today, well I did raid it, to buy food. We have a cash flow prob, but fortunately the cheque for hte work DH did last week arrived this morning so when that clears things will be fine again. Anyway, I arrived at Mr S with a load of change and apologised to the cashier. She said: why not use your nectar points? It turns out I have zillions of points! She let me use them in £2.50 chunks (not sure why) so I got £13.30 worth of stuff for £1.30! Result! :j
I have over £20 in my pot now and the same in my "sealed pot challenge." I'm dividing my change equally between the two.

How is everyone else getting on?
