Hi,
Could I join this challenge please? I'm putting my small coins in a sealed piggy bank but have just started a jar for bigger coins and will lodge them once a month. This saving thing is really addictive!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Hi Nuala, welcome along.
Well done Cashless, you are not so cashless anymore! That's a lot of change!
I've not really managed to add any more to my pot. I think it's just a few coins. My FIL has given us some money which is great, and the car is at the garage with a bust radiator, so it's been a mixed week money wise. I'm still rounding up all our debit card transactions and paying the difference to our largest CC, so that's helping. And I've listed something on ebay for the first time in years, so hope that sells. I've got lots of clothes that I'm going to put on there so hope to raise some cash!
Is everyone happy not having any numbers or your totals updated on the first post? I was thinking of starting a new thread with the same aim as this one as I can then keep updating how much we've saved this year. Let me know if you are happy with the status quo or would like some recognition for what you have acheived!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi folks,
Not been on for a while, but still saving my pennies here and there. Have been using my debit card, so never have any change to put away. Found 20p roadkill when i took little one to the park though
Havent counted up but am no where near as some as you guys!! Ive been saving for ages and only have about £10 - £20!!!!!! I haven't counted it yet - when it looks substantial enough - i will put it to my barclaycard!!!
I agree Rosepink - I think you should start another thread....some of the guys are doing really well and it would be good to do some kind of recognition and help boost some of the rest of us (like me!) who dont do as well!! Knowing how well everyone else is doing gives you a boost - which i think we all need!!!
Only my opinion, but am happy to go with what everyone else wants to do!

Hi, I've started a new thread here. No disrespect is intended to the OP of this thread, I just thought it's nice to have a running tally of how we are all doing and some recognition of all our hard work! So that's why I've started the new thread, as the OP seems to have disappeared! Hopefully they are ok and might come back to see how their loose change buddies are!
Join me on the new thread if you wish, or stay here, no worries either wayI can easily add newcomers to the list and post how much you have saved as I am on MSE nearly every day. Please feel free to join in!
