Hi everyone, hope you are having a good weekend.
We are having cash flow problems (the bank takes too long to clear cheques!) and so I had to raid my pots Friday. Between the sealed pot and the loose change pays my debt pot, I had £50 and I had to buy petrol and milk. I'm sorry guys, but we had to go to a funeral, so had to have petrol. And then Saturday we spent the rest on food and as it's been a tough week treated ourselves to milkshakes from the best milkshake shop ever (made from vanilla ice cream and what ever sweets you want) - sometimes you just need a treat.
The cheques for DH's wages are clearing on Mon and Tues, I will be paid Thurs, and he has lots more work coming up so hopefully I will be able to put the money back in, once our overdrafts are paid off, and some urgent bills. We may even be able to pay more than the minimum payment on our CC's! Hope so, otherwise we will never get out of debt!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I managed to put £30 in each pot today, so they are both £5 better off. The trouble is that I put notes in - its hard to ignore notes! Must not spend them, must not spend them!
I also went shopping today so managed to put some change in, and I also found 1p roadkill! Yay! The first for ages! No one seems to drop change anymore!
I'm trying to save money and lose weight by cutting back on chocolate. I usually buy a big bag of chocolate and end up eating it all in one day, so I'm only buying one small bar a day. Trouble is, it's really hard to stick to! But am gonna keep a note of how much I've saved and that should help me to keep going. Need to try to get my tummy back to normal size not huge size!
I feel like I'm on my own on this thread! How is everyone getting on? Put anything in your pots lately?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi to all, especially Rosepink who seems to be talking to herself! Im here now and hoping to join!
Being quite new to the forums, am just figuring out the challenges and whats best for me. Have been following flylady for a couple of weeks and am getting on top of my house - now need to get on top of my outgoings!
My goal for 2009 is to clear my CCs so this will go a long way to helping get those down!!
I am going to also do the sealed pot challenge, so that when christmas comes I wont be tempted to use the credit cards as i will have money saved away!!
So can I join please please???Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Hello Can I join please???? I have a number of loose change pots around the house but this will keep me focused to add more. I found a 5p the other day on the toilet floor at work. It took me 2 mins to decide if I was going to pick it up, but washed hands thoroughly and then used the stuff you get in hospitals to clean your hands with. My Mum is a clean freak and makes me carry it everywhere.
I am hoping to clear a store card 1800 and a CC 1500 this year so every penny helps!!!!
Thanks Kat xxxx0 -
