Yes you will need to bag up your coins before taking them into a bank. Don't mix up the coins and they should do it. Some banks have a limit on how many they accept though so be prepared for that

Even if it's a penny, that's a penny that you could be having in your account rather than theirs!
Bag it up and take it to the bank. 0 -

Hiya guesty6,
The machines in supermarkets take about 8% of your money. I'd prefer to go to the bank and p*ss off OP on the queue, because the staff have to weight the bags :rotfl: . The money is better off in your pocket than some company's coffers

Hi, I would like to join in. I'm in the sealed pot challenge, but I feel a bit guilty about saving when I am trying to get clear of debt, so here goes - I will put everything up to 50p's in this challenge and £1 and £2 coins in the sealed pot challenge as it helps me to sleep easier knowing I have a bit of spare cash for an emergency. I really want to get out of debt though, so this one will be great!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi everyone - this is a great thread. If anyone has an account at HSBC, they have a machine for paying in change in some branches - you don't need to sort it or count it - just tip it in! It's similar to the ones that take commission that you find in supermarkets - only you get every single penny with these as the money gets credited straight to your account. I've paid in nearly £250 so far!!:T Don't know if any other banks besides HSBC have them. :money:£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Hiya
I have about £6.31 or something like that saved up so far. I have got some more money to put into my jar but I need to raid hubbys wallet first and I'm sure he has taken to sleeping with it under his pillow so I don't empty it.
