It has some great reviews on here, looks like you'll be ok :j0 -
Hi Ninestonecreature. Can I ask where you managed to get tickets for the daily show? We are going to NYC next saturday and would love to go. I looked on the website a few months ago when we booked, but all tickets had gone, so we are on a cancellation list, so probably won't get them.
Just found this bit if info:
You could try getting standby tickets to The Daily Show by calling (212) 586-2477 to find out if there have been any ticket cancellations for that week’s taping. This listing is updated on Fridays at 11:30 am.
Also, for a lit of other free shows:

Only bugbear for me is sharing a double bed with my mate and the other two are in double bed in same room,if Brad Pitt was going well i wouldn't mind;) but I snore like a trooper and think my friends are going to be pretty peed off with me by end of trip
I like the flight times and dates but just realised that sales for after thanksgiving start on the 27th so we will miss them by going on the 30th but hopefully they will still be on? Anyone know about this?
Is it worth perhaps going on the Saturday the 27th? To get the sales and wont use so much holiday from work either
Thanks for your help

I know this might sound a bit naff, but you can't beat ear plugs. I take them every time I stay away from home - whether it's at a friends (kids making a racket!) or a flight / hotel. Great for flights as cuts a lot of background noise out - so why not take a packet and give them to your mates?
Sales will still be on by 30 Nov, don't worry.0 -
Hi Josie,
Wow sounds like you do know how to shop!!
I like shopping here but the thrill of wearing a size 2-4 in the US soon wore off - everyone is sooo tiny in NY I felt huge and didnt want to buy anything...
Anyway £600 seems cheap for a radisson and flights! I'm going again in October (April trip is already booked) so if you can post the link to that cheap deal I'll have a look for then!
I knew I should have booked it before we went away, but still haven't persuaded DH! Sorry, been in Canada skiing for 10 days. It's gone up to £611 now. It was with Expedia.
I agree with some of the comments on people paying too much. I've tried every which way, Priceline, Quikbook and others and I can still never beat an all in deal with Expedia for flight and hotel combined. I think unless you can get a cracking flight price, then you're unlikely to beat them + cashback on Quidco.0 -
I'm all booked up to go to NY at Easter and being a shopper, I am wondering whether the shops may be closed over this period? Also, as I am travelling light, I was thinking of posting my purchases home so that I don't have to lug them around on my last day. Is there anything I need to know?
cheers
Being a big shopper, what I usually do is pack my weekend size suitcase with what I'm taking and put it inside my full size case for the way out and then bring the two cases back. The luggage allowance per case is usually quite generous transatlantic. You'll be able to leave your luggage in the hotel after you've checked out on the last day and can just shove any last minute purchases in when you collect at the end of the day.0 -

I've just come back from NYC and thats where i stayed, its very spacious, comnfortable and clean and the rooms are big also. One thing dont order room service its expensive, theres a deli as u turn left out of the hotel go there for breakfast! Have a great time, i didnt want to come home, oh and plus its pretty central even though its on 57th st, we walked all the way down to times square and ground zero and it didnt take long, another thing we got a cab from 34th st (by the empire state) back to hotel and it was around $6 pretty cheap for how many blocks we travelled!
Have fun!0 -
