Hi, I definately want to go to Harlem on my August trip.We go the same day as you waxy but land In the evening. We are also staying in jersey, but flying into jfk:rolleyes:-dont ask.
Anyway, the point to my post;) is that i've given up within reason of being bothered about people's interpretations of safe, as I live In Islington and know full well there are the lovely places that estate agents can make a pretty penny by emphasising and a lot of places you would not let your dog out at night, lol. My ex would not go to Harlem last time, because of what he'd heard and seen on the t.v.Well, i've been watching Harlem heights and all the people in it are proffessional people leading perfectly normal lives(o.k slightly dramatised-docusoap),so I think it's just a case of knowing where your going as with any place and commonsense.
On a different note, It's nice to see the $ rate nicely rising:D:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

did you subway it or taxi?
Subway.
Cramped taxis just don't do it for us.
Also you get to feel the NYC vibe (IMHO) as soon as you leave the airport. Helpful staff will point you in the right direction.
We have only used taxis once, and it wasn't as nice or cheap.0 -
Hi guys,
I'm finalising my itinerary for my trip in November. We're wanting to go and visit family in Toronto for the last couple of days of our trip then fly back and head home from NYC.
My first question is can I book flights using the American Expedia or AA websites. I can save about £40 per person on the flights if so.
2nd question is how long would you allow to get from La Guardia to Newark on a Sunday evening either by train or taxi. We need to check in at Newark by 7pm. Google maps say 40mins in a car or approx 1hr 15 by train subway.
Thanks guys0
