In your experience Mark, do yo think the hotel room prices will drop if I wait a little? I was looking at Sept/Oct anyway.

[STRIKE]I'm sure there was something else I was gonna ask.....................[/STRIKE]I remembered what it was:D Is the metrocard for 7 days worth getting??? imagine we'll use public transport as much as poss.....don't fancy hanging in the middle of NYs roads trying to flag a taxi down:o:p

Expedia:D Sorry but the link isn't working, probably because it's my search or summat!!! I was looking on there at 11-16 Spetember for 5nights going from any London airport. Hope this helps!

There are some cheaper ones nearer the airports too...ooo that was another question...................which is the best airport to fly to??? Was thinking JFK but Newark & La Guardia seem closer to me:confused:

It must be the manchester effect pushing the price up, £500 would be spot on price wise.

Yeah manchester is a bit more expensive, we had a look there but figured we'd pay the extra & travel to London to get the deals as it's £20pp on the National Express coach but is still cheaper than flying from Manchester:eek: I'm in Derby btw, flying from Manchester would've been nice as I could've seen my parents and got Dad to drive to airport but I spose you can't have everything:rolleyes:

Have you looked at Birmingham??? Gonna go do that myself....why do I never think if there?!?!?!

how did you come up with £1055? was that flight and hotel? or separate searches?

I was getting £800 for anything better than a hostel.

£1005 was on the flight & hotel search... flying from London though.
I also listed in order of price not what Expedia recommends:D
