I've been wondering that.

I have 144 flower garden granny squares waiting to be joined together, but I'm waiting for a) time and b) cooler weather. Perhaps when the DGK's go back to school....., I certainly don't want to be sitting with a blanket on my lap at the moment, while I piece it all together.

I have a birthday coming up very soon and am hoping for a book (or maybe two) with lots of different blocks and motifs, so there'll be no stopping me once the cooler weather is here.

I love crocheting! I taught myself last year using the Internet and various lovely blogs I found. I'm planning on crocheting a couple of cushion covers for Christmas presents and getting lovely big squishy cushion pads from John Lewis for them :-)

how do you join the squares together? sorry if silly question. i have nearly finished a crochet blanket to go in my sisters baby hamper and am wanting to do the squares i was only thinking about this last night so im glad i popped on and found your post

Im still here ! , ive been doing this baby blanket for a relative its so soft really nice pattern.

Im now doing a granny blanket for the same person.

you can either whip stitch them together or crochet them together, i highly recommend "attic24" google it , its a lovely blog by a lady called lucy who shows you how to join them with lots of pictures very easy to understand.

Hi LJM, here is the method I used for joining the squares on this. I found it quite easy and the result is good as you can see.

Did some more crochet last night, jst a few more rounds of dark blue then im gonna put a lovely white fancy edging on to finsih it off, Hope your all enoying your crochet projects !
