I've just started a hexagon in Rowan DK wool, which will become a scarf. When I find what DD has done with my camera, I'll post pics
Penny. x
This is the first of the hexagons for my scarf (I now have a row of 7, so will post that once DD brings my camera back again  )
this is Betty, the i-pod cover::rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I love Betty, she's gorgeous! :T:T:T
I need to make some sort of a case for my new MP3 player, but it's a Sansa and is absolutely tiny (about the size of the old square iPod Shuffle) so not sure what I want to do really.0 -
Im still making hexagons for my blanket/throw , i didnt realise how many there was lol
Happy hooking to all x0 -
I bought issue 1 but as I'm already a fairly competent crocheter it wasn't for me, I think it's really good for beginners though. The weekly block blanket is a good idea, but do you realise it will cost you about £300? All these partworks rely on you only thinking of the £3 a week, not the overall cost. Much better to buy a good beginner's book, a good stitch guide and cheap yarn in your own choice of colours.
I would highly recommend these books to anyone who decides to take the cheaper option:

Penny I've just offered to make a Betty for my 14 yo son, and he has given her a big thumbs down. Sorry about that
I think it was the blue bow that did it.
I love her though :T
I've been working on my stack of granny squares. The perfect project for snowbound days. I'm a bit apprehensive when the time comes for joining them though. I think I might find they're not all exactly the same size:o0 -
Reading all the posts about mums teaching daughters to crochet has made me smile.
My mum was a knitter, couldn't crochet and had no interest in it. My nan (her mum) was a crocheter and taught me when I was little, so it skipped a generation.
Then last year my mum, now aged 79, asked me to teach her, and since then has made the most beautiful blanket.
Just goes to show you are never too old to start!Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
