The first one or two may be worth it, but there are loads of crochet videos on utube for free.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
I got one for free (hubby is a magazine buyer and often brings home freebies) but I probably wouldn't buy it again because it's aimed at total beginners and happily I'm well past that stage
It would be great for someone who was only starting though. I might pick it up if I particularly liked the gift with that particular issue. I'm going to pass my copy on to a friend who wants to learn.

I've just subscribed... I really like the look of that throw! Though I've worked out that as it's completed in 120 issues I'll have to pay around £360 to complete it (not incuding the cost of the binders they send you occasionally. I think it would be cheaper to buy the throw, a throw, any throw! Though I have got some 'free' gifts as I subscribed: a yarn bag, hook wrap, travel bag, crochet tidy and a complete evening scarf kit.
**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

It seems the crochet magazine hasn't hit Manchester yet. Tried a few shops and ended up at Sainsburys where a nice young man said they were waiting for it to arrive.Clearing the junk to travel light

I think the best thing is to buy the first issue, maybe the 2nd and then use the net, or ask questions on here.
I am a returning crocheteer (?) crochet person maybe :rotfl: I learnt when I was a teenager but haven't done much since, started up again about 18 months ago and am really enjoying it. Am hoping to do a lot more this year.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
