You'd have to experiment with the size- I'd do it in paper first.
A circle, cut a slit to centre , then slide one end over the other to make a cone until it looks like a bonnet. I would think that it needs about three quarters of a circle. Just tried and that looks like a coolie hat!
Or half a circle, pinch at centre on the straight side and secure with a couple of stitches. That looks fairly bonnet like. If you want to go the whole way I think you could attach very fine ribbon or thin strips of felt at the 'corners' to tie in a bow.
Another variation- cut the circle with pinking shears.
Cut teeny circles of felt, snip round edge, pinch in centre, catch with stitch(es) for flowers......
I just enjoy fiddling, experimenting etc

Oh much better to create than to iron!! No contest really , is there??? I can create a mess in so little time too.....it takes no effort. On the other hand just thinking about getting out the ironing board etc spoils a nice day!!

Congratulations on the pram blankets especially the striped one- much harder to keep a rectangle rectangular!! Looks great.

Next time if you want slightly different - easy but a tad fiddly edging try "crab stitch" or reverse stitch edging. If you google it there are a couple of You tube videos. You get a kind of rolled chunky edge.
