    Happy New Year everyone!

Lovely makes Jumblejack and OrkneyStar - well done :T

I've started on the pompom wool baby blankets - I bought 12 balls for £10.99 in Hobbycraft before Christmas and really need to get cracking! I should get 2 blankets out of 12 balls with hopefully some to spare.

I'm still failing at crochet, feel like I really need someone to show me in person. The terminology confuses me and I'm finding it hard doing everything right handed (I'm a lefty).

Hi CompBunny. There are lots of tutorials on youtube especially for left handed people.
Here's a link Beginners lefthand crochet

Hope it helps. You will get it, don't give up :)

I discovered an all in one flower granny square last night.

I had to make one to test it out:

Jumping in here to say I crochet as well. :)

Instead of making blankets or wash cloths, I've fallen in love with doll making and amigurumi figures.

Here are a few photos of my dolls if anyone would like to see them.

You should sell those on ebay, there are masses of Doctor Who fans out there.

Those dolls are lovely! Well done.

I am just wondering how to work out how much crochet I will get from a ball of wool? At the moment I am using guesswork but I think my luck will run out soon. Any help would be appreciated please
