I discovered an all in one flower granny square last night.

I had to make one to test it out:

I completed my last project last night.

My previous bag was very well worn and tatty:
    photo-2341.jpg

So I used bits of it to make a new crochet bag. I reused the lining and strap hoops and a little bit of the outer fabric to make an iPhone holder inside the bag.

I crocheted 17 granny squares in yarn leftover from the blanket project:

Here is the bag to show a little of the recycled and shaped to fit lining and the recycled hoops:

    Tada:

I just need a funky button to close it with and it is ready to use.

I am absolutely thrilled to bits and cannot wait to use it!!!!

    Gorgeous - love it.

  • Mrs_T_M those are awesome!!! I love amigurumi, but I have only done very small things to start with!
I dont know if anyone here has heard of her, but Twinkie Chan is an amazing crochet designer from San Fransisco. She makes scarves and accessories which are food themed.

I am another fan of Attic24 too - i've been following her for years!
I made a granny stripe blanket which I finished last summer:

And a toilet roll holder I made between Christmas and New Year. It only took a few hours to make!540987_10151326908022302_1272352885_n_zpsed59ad94.jpg
the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j
  • I have also started a ripple blanket (again from Lucy!) in colours very similar to my granny stripe (my lovely BF bought me the Lucy pack of Stylecraft Special DK for christmas!) but that needs to go on the back burner for a little while because i've had an order of 2 baby blankets from my twin cousins - both of their wives are expecting baby girls this year (about 8 weeks apart in fact!) I ordered the Stylecraft special last weekend and it arrived on wednesday, so I had best get cracking!

I just made it up as I went along! The base is just a long strip of half treble crochet, the top is a half ball, and then I just did a frilly edge (unfortunately I cant remember exactly what I did!)

That's fantastic Mamjak! Do you have a link to the pattern (forgive me if you've already posted it!) My eldest daughter came into the room just as I clicked on this page, and I got the impression she'd love one (she's 16 :rotfl:)

Got the idea from here http://allaboutami.tumblr.com/post/11585794742/minionpattern
but had to adapt some of it as didn't quite follow her instructions and also its american so terms are different.

My family is mad on the minions but couldn't find a soft toy anywhere so as i'm getting into crochet now thought i'd have a go myself. Been labour of love (and pain!) but chuffed with outcome and kids love him - so does my hubby ;)

Thanks for your praise Florenceem and welcome back and sorry about your MIL. :(
