I'm ashamed to say I bought the Cute & Easy one several months ago when the Book People had it cheap and haven't even looked at it - put it on the shelf as I was too busy when it arrived, and forgot I had it until you just mentioned it! Lovely, it's like getting a new book again!:rotfl:
The bunting is lovely in that as are the mug hugsTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Can someone give me some advice with the attic 24 granny stripe pattern?
I'm not sure I've got it right, but I can't see any other way to do it..
For each stripe you do two rows with each colour, right? which ends up with two rows of groups of 3 treble crochets attatched to each other via the spaces between each group.
Because you turn the work after the first row the second row ends up with what would be the back of the stitches in the cluster of trebles (in a granny square) showing? whilst the first row is what would be the right side of the stitches in the cluster of trebles (in a granny square) showing?
Is that right?
So basically each stripe consists of two rows which go as follows:
row 1: front of the stitches shows,
row2: what would normally be the back of the stitches shows?
Is this right? or should both rows (which make up the one stripe) have the right side of the stitches (as it would be in a normal granny square) showing?
If I've not got it right how do I turn to acheive this?
Hope that makes some sense! Thank you xM.A.C.A.W member number 39

You're doing it right. If you do a square you just turn it 90 degrees and the right side is always facing you but to do rows like you are doing, half of them will be the "wrong" side, unless of course you fasten off at the end of each row and start at the beginning again but that would be a lot of ends to sew in14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

Dibuzz has it right - this is my Granny Stripe in progress - I hope it helps
edit to add - the row between the dark purple and the grey is a variegated wool, so it sometimes looks like two single rows, but t'isn't
