I have just finished sewing in all the ends of my Granny Stripe blanket, what a chore that is!! I am very pleased with the finished result though, and am glad I followed Lucy's colour choice.

Yesterday I started on my very first ripple pattern, which (now I've got the hang of it!) is quite simple and enjoyable to do. I found the tricky part was the first row, but once I had mastered that, after several attempts, it just seems to ripple along nicely. I did do a small sample piece with 28+3 chain to practice with and to master how to do it, so if you are going to give the ripple pattern a go, I would certainly recommend a small piece first.

Here are some more photos, you should be able to see larger versions if you click on the small photos.

Gorgeous colours missmilly. I also like the ottoman which it's lying on - is that Cath Kidston fabric?

    Thank you :)

I covered the ottoman in Ikea Rosali fabric, I love the colours and it's cheaper than Cath Kidston fabric :rotfl:. I have a couple more ottomans to do when the weather gets warm enough for me to get out into the summer house to do them.

Thank you :) I have quite a lot of wool left from the 'pack' I bought for the Granny Stripe so am using that up. I'm just doing a Ripple cushion so I should have plenty, fingers crossed!

I'm glad to hear the flower cushion is blooming :rotfl:

No, I haven't used it yet, but would love to, as I have heard good reviews for it. It is pricey though, even on eBay.

I used Debbie Bliss Prima on my brown/pink/cream/gold blanket and that was lovely too, even though I bought it all on eBay at reasonable prices at different times from different sellers, it still works out as a VERY expensive double blanket..........but is is soooooo soft ;)
