Mavisanglica your blanket looks great and Ive had a look at the tutorial and it looks easy enough for me - the tutorial is simple to follow, a good second project for me, I will have to find somewhere where I can buy some nice wool from when I decide on a colour scheme:)

I love the bags and other stuff you can crochet but I think it may be beyond me, so a blanket (even if its small)would be doable (if thats a word!) so I just need loads of time now:rotfl:

Lovely blanket. I just got some wool from Kemps online, 150gms for £1.59 some nice colours which you could add cream or white to.

    That's a gorgeous blanket!
I am very proud of myself for finally finishing my first project for Christmas - a tea cosy! I'm now back to my other project- lots of small granny squares for a blanket. I've been using odds and ends of wool so I think it will end up a patchwork one rather than a proper design. So far there's cream, grey and a green 'blend'.
I am going to take one ball to work with me and try to do at least two squares every lunchtime, plus whatever else I can manage in the evening.
I also need to find a proper bag/box to put the project in as it grows - I keep finding 'squares' around the house!

I'm currently crocheting socks having just crocheted wrist warmers I found on raverly...

Really easy once you get the hang of them. Think I got the pattern from the Lion brand book off amazon (about £4 including postage) which has so many fab sock patterns I want to do them all :)

Love the granny square patterns btw ...makes me want to do another blankie...

uTube is FAB for tutorials. Each person seems to prefer different ones so I would suggest watching a few until you find one that 'clicks' with you.
