Ok who posted that link - draagonfly, its wonderful, am off to make some of the decorations and bunting thats when I have finished my shawl. I was wandering round Ravelry last night and found a very simple shawl pattern because I lost the one I used before - like I always do - so started it late, very late last night with some vintage style wool I got from Kemps for 49p a ball last year. In between everything today I have done some and am on my 3rd 50gm ball and its so nice. I did actually make the snake similair to hers after seeing a picture of one somewhere and it turned out well. I have been crochetting for 44 years so I should be able to do a pattern from my head really. Will post some pics when I have finished.Clearing the junk to travel light

Well I have taken the plunge and listed my excess yarn on e-bay. Really hoping that someone will buy it so that I can start stocking up for my next project :rotfl::rotfl:Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Thank you!
I am so proud of myself, considering I have only just got the hang of it.
Squares are so easy though. I travel to London for work a couple of times a month so can get a few done on the train without having to get a pattern out (that's what I like, that once you have done a couple you don't need to concentrate) And then in the evening I can get at least one done.
I really need to challenge myself now though and try 'proper' crochetting!Ditch 100 in January Challenge 100/100

Here is the link to the squares pattern.
I just used Wilkinson's and Poundstretcher wool and just kept doing squares until I had enough that I was happy with when I spread them out on the floor.
I stitched them together using LucyAttic's Granny Square method and then adapted her Granny Square Edging pattern.Ditch 100 in January Challenge 100/100
