I asked a while back if anyone could help me out with this and I've been searching ever since with no luck
I've made a crochet blanket out of squares for a friend and need some small & simple (3.5" max), preferably flat creatures to go on it.
Time is now of the essence, she is re-locating to US around Christmas time and wants to take it with her then.
I am looking for :
Crab
lobster
starfish
sea shell
fish
etc;
They need to be simple, flat and small.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. I've spent so much time looking for these that I could have made several other blankets in that time. I really am having no luck.
Thanks in advance

what a lucky girl i am!!!! i too am crocheting blankets/throws like made. buying a few balls of cheapish wool each week. then today, i walk into a charity shop very close to me, and find they are selling huge crocheted blankets/throws, not used and clearly very new, for £3.99!!!
couldnt believe it. the cost of a couple of big balls of wool. needless to say i didnt leave empty handed. and they are lovely. think i will be getting some more of those. xx0 -
Mythi ......................Thank you soooooooooo much!
I have searched for ages and nothing seemed 'just right', these do :j
I have found through your links pictures of small crabs that are great, that's all I need now and I'll be able to complete the blanket, but they don't have the patterns with them
So still looking for the last piece guys

Thank you to everyone that replied. I might go and get a magazine, actually. Sounds like a good investment and there might be a free hook. I think all mine are down the side of the sofa!0

 I've just spent two and a half hours trying to crochet some baby slippers off youtube but ended up scrunching the three attempts, after I'd got over half way through, up and 'shouting' a bit. I just can't seem to get it at all. I'm not in the right frame of mind to be honest and I think for crochet, especially new things, you have to be.
Ah well I'll try again at some stage, not tonight though!!!!
