my projects page on Ravelry - you can see all the other things I have crocheted on there! I still have the cushion covers I am making to go on there, but as they are christmas presents, they will have to go up in the new year!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -
Hi ladies and maybe a couple of gentlemen!
I got some very exciting news today and as none of my friends are crafty none of them got why I am so excited so thought maybe you guys might get it - I found out that I have won a raffle for a brand new state of the art sewing machine!!! :j I know it's nothing to do with crochet and once I learn how to use it and get going I may even have so much fun on it that crochet falls by the way side for a bitbut I am absolutely over the moon!!!
On the crochet side I am in the middle of another bag but I have finished these which I'm quite proud of as my first wearable items!

Super-cute things, glitterkitty. I love the expression on jonathan cupcake's face.
bluebellbunny, what is that stitch called? It's really effective.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -

Morning all,
Bluebellbunny - congratulations on winning the sewing machine -that is very exciting. Love the hat.
Glitterkitty - Wow to all your things on Ravelry- you have been busy.
I've just joined Ravelry myself- I don't know why I haven't before now. It would be good to find a crochet group near me.

angie what a lovely blanket and such a large project for a beginner - well done.
glitterkitty - loved seeing all your projects on ravelry - you've been busy.
bluebellbunny - congratulations on winning the sewing machine, have fun, but don't stop the crochet we would miss seeing your projects, the hat and scarf are fab.
My crochet is hastening slowly at the moment as I'm a bit daunted because I'm going to run out of yarn. I'll try ringing round a few shops today to see if I can source any.
I did see the new baby wrapped in the blue ripple blanket I made, it looked gorgeous, well any blanket would look gorgeous with a new baby in it. I would have made it larger if I'd know the new mum wanted to wrap baby in it. I really only made it for a car seat.

Bluebellebunny, many congratulations on your win. State of the art, sounds like there will be a scary manual with that one! Are you OK with that kind of thing? I ask because I'm not, a needle and thread is easy enough for me to cope with, but get a machine involved and I'm all over the place! Have fun with it!
Apropos the cold snap last night, I have started to crochet a good old fashioned sausage dog draught excluder. I predict it will be a new trend!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!
