  • Hi folks, I did warn you that there would be more pictures. Here are two ripple blankets waiting for baby girls to be born. I did a blue one as well - it's new owner arrived on Wednesday.

  • Wow Bella they're lovely! What size do you make them? I think I have the photo bug now I can post and I also finished something I'm very happy with today, the photo doesn't really do it justice and I haven't lined it yet but I really hope my friend will like it :) here it is anyway -

That is absolutely gorgeous and I have started on the pattern straight away.
I love all your crochet projects. When the batteries in my camera have charged up, I will show you the cushion in progress from the pattern above and another cushion I made to match my Ikea rug.

Bluebellbunny, the bag looks great, your friend is lucky.
Bella: That is some size blanket, lovely colours though
Owens, I love that yellow baby blanket you made, I am going to look up that pattern on youtube.

bluebellbunny I do love that bag! Where did you find the pattern please? I have some khaki wool in my stash that's just begging to become a bag like that!

BTW, well done on packing in the ciggies. Stick with it, if you've lasted since March you've cracked it now, but don't weaken - just remember you will never be a non-smoker again, you will always be an ex-smoker who is on the wagon and as such you are only ever one ciggy away from starting again. I gave up several years ago and it was hard but totally worth the pain. I must have saved thousands, and I don't have to keep going out in the rain!
Oh dear, here we go again.

Hi Jenny, I have looked absolutely everywhere online for the pattern but can't find it unfortunately :( maybe you will have more luck, it is called Fat-bottom bag from the book Stitch 'N !!!!! Crochet-The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller and the actual pattern is by a girl called Julie Holetz, she has a blog - http://www.skamama.com
I have the book, it's the one that I learned to crochet from, maybe you can get it from the library if you have no luck finding the pattern or if worst comes to worst I'll try and type it all out!
Thanks about the words on smoking but you've come and a bad point were I have kind of given in to the still constant cravings and am having the odd one....:o I know it's bad and it could be the slippery slope but these unbearable cravings just won't go and after 6 months I just can't do it any more and as long as I keep it to the odd one I think that is better than getting upset all the time!

My goodness, I'm in awe of all of your pics of finished products, your makes are lovely! Thank you for all the links too, although I was trying to go 'cold turkey' and finish my on-going projects before starting new ones, but it's difficult not to check out all the links and look through my yarn stash ....
BTW aren't babies great - they give you the excuse to do make such pretty things, and because they're for tiny people they are done so quickly, you can then move on to making more pretty things!

  • Maytauris you are SO good with all the technical stuff - I really don't have a clue! I have been trying to work out how you put my name so I could click on it and how people put links just by clicking on a work.... but no, I'm just a lost cause I think were all that is concerned!!! :o I love that sleepy Sarah pattern you have posted, I have been meaning to do that for AGES but just haven't gotten round to it yet, am totally crazy about doing bags right now after my successful one finished yesterday, have even put all my other projects on the back burners and was hoping to finish my hat and scarf set this weekend!!! Happy Hooking all
